Finance Minister Sri Mulyani explained that Prabowo Subianto, as President-elect, has allocated a budget of IDR 20.3 trillion to realize the school renovation program in 2025.

The move not only targets physical infrastructure improvements but also creates significant economic impacts. By dividing the project into small packages, the government plans to empower local contractors to carry out the project, which will ultimately open up new job opportunities for people in various regions.

Sri Mulyani emphasized that this program is not just about building renovations, but also an important instrument in improving the quality of education and increasing the welfare of local communities.

The school renovation program does not stand alone, but is part of the Prabowo-Gibran government’s commitment to ensuring equal access to education throughout Indonesia.

Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), Budisatrio Djiwandono, assessed that equalizing education is the main priority of President-elect Prabowo Subianto. He stated that during his tenure as Minister of Defense, Prabowo has focused on efforts to improve the quality of human resources through education.

As President-elect, the man born in 1951 is determined to continue this commitment through the renovation of schools, especially in areas that are still underdeveloped. By improving the quality of educational infrastructure, this government is trying to prepare the younger generation to be ready to face the upcoming demographic bonus. Without adequate education, the demographic bonus could actually become a burden for the nation.

Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Makarim also emphasized that the education budget of IDR 722.6 trillion that has been prepared will be used for various priority programs, including school renovation and development of superior schools throughout Indonesia.

According to him, improving the physical quality of schools is a fundamental step in creating a conducive learning environment. In the long term, the renovation program will provide great benefits, both for students and teachers, which will support the improvement of the overall quality of education.

The school renovation program is also designed to address the challenges faced by schools in remote and rural areas. Many schools in these areas have not received adequate attention for years.

Damaged buildings, inadequate facilities, and lack of access to technology are major obstacles to achieving quality education. The Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration is determined to address these issues through comprehensive and planned infrastructure improvements.

In this context, the Prabowo-Gibran government pair not only views education as a basic right, but also as a long-term investment in building the nation.

School renovations involving many parties, from the central government, local governments, to local contractors, demonstrate a holistic approach to improving the quality of education.

The government not only wants to improve the physical buildings, but also wants to create a better educational ecosystem, which can support the teaching and learning process optimally.

In addition, this renovation program is expected to have a direct impact on improving the quality of life of the community around the school. By involving local contractors, the government wants to ensure that the benefits of this program are not only felt by students and teachers, but also by the community involved in the construction process.

The government believes that quality education must be supported by adequate infrastructure, and this school renovation is the first step towards creating a better education ecosystem.

The commitment of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka governments to realize this school renovation program shows that they are truly serious about improving the quality of education in Indonesia.

The program is not only a short-term solution to repair damaged facilities, but also part of a long-term vision in creating a healthy, intelligent, and competitive generation in the future. With better educational infrastructure, it is hoped that students can learn more optimally, so they can achieve higher achievements.

The school renovations carried out by the Prabowo-Gibran government are not just infrastructure projects, but also strategic efforts to create more inclusive and equitable education throughout Indonesia.

This step is expected to be the foundation for achieving Golden Indonesia, where the young generation who receive quality education will become the main driving force of national development in the future. The government is committed to ensuring that every child in Indonesia has an equal opportunity to learn in a decent and supportive environment.
