Aceh Government believes Toll Road Construction accelerates Community Economy

The Aceh Provincial Government believes the toll road project will have a positive impact on the acceleration of the community’s economy.
President Joko Widodo on Friday inaugurated the first construction (groundbreaking) of the first toll road project in Aceh, the Banda Aceh-Sigli section.
On Friday, Acting Governor of Aceh Nova Iriansyah at the groundbreaking site, Blang Bintang, Aceh Besar District, Aceh, said that the presence of toll roads in Aceh was a big leap for the acceleration of Aceh’s development, so that development and investment programs and improvement of people’s welfare were more quickly realized.
With the construction of toll roads, Nova is optimistic about the future of development in Aceh and at the same time as evidence of strong support from the central government for the development of this region. In addition, he continued, from year to year, the central development budget for Aceh continued to increase.
He said, on behalf of the government and all the people of Aceh, we are grateful and express our gratitude to Mr. President Joko Widodo for the presence of national strategic projects in Aceh. We are determined to succeed in the implementation of these projects, because we believe that they will realize the progress of Aceh in the future.
Nova also said that in the construction of the Aceh-Sigli Toll Road, the company has announced the field maps and nominative list of 3,586 plots of land for 10 sub-districts in Aceh Besar and Pidie Regencies. Of the 10 sub-districts, as many as 8 sub-districts have appraisal land prices and continued with compensation in the four sub-districts including Blang Bintang, Montasik, and Indrapuri.
The total plots of land that have been paid are 144 fields out of a total of 3,586 or 55.34 hectares, with a total land area of 755.2 hectares. Nova said, the total realization of bailouts by PT Hutama Karya (Persero) amounted to Rp17.56 billion.
Furthermore, he asked the Joko Widodo’s Government to participate in supporting other projects in Aceh such as the construction of the Geurutee Mountain tunnel, the western cross national road, the acceleration of the development of the Sabang tourism area, the revitalization and development of Gayo arabica coffee from upstream to downstream, and the development of the Lampulo fishing port area and Ladong industrial area.The presence of this toll road is a big leap for the acceleration of Aceh’s development, so that development and investment programs and improvement of people’s welfare are more quickly realized. It is hoped that the future of development in Aceh will continue to increase, as evidence of the strong support of the central government for the development of this region.
