Medical personnel are the most vulnerable to contracting corona because they are in direct contact with patients. Therefore, the government has prioritized giving them the Covid-19 vaccine. next year, the vaccine will be ready and given to health workers gradually. So that there are no further corona victims.
Currently the Covid-19 vaccine is still in the final experimental stage. The plan is that it will arrive in Indonesia in 2021. When the vaccine is really ready, the government will prioritize injecting the vaccine to doctors and other medical personnel. Because they served in the vanguard and were willing to work in hot PPE clothes for hours.
Why does it have to be nakes? Because they have been fighting it out to the point of sacrificing their own safety, since the beginning of the pandemic. In addition, if medical personnel have received a vaccine injection, their bodies will be stronger and will not contract the corona from patients. Don’t let any doctors and other officers at the hospital lose their lives.
Erick Thohir, Chief Executive of the Committee for the Prevention of Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery, stated that all health workers, doctors and nurses will receive their first immunization injection when the vaccine is ready for use early next year. They are also at the forefront of conducting mass vaccinations. There will be a special vaccine team working with IDI.
It is planned that as many as 1.5 million medical personnel will be given the Covid-19 vaccine while the rest will follow. The health workers who get immunization are not only those who work in clinics, government hospitals and private hospitals, but also those who work in the TNI and the Indonesian police. The government will be fair and all medical personnel will be protected from the ferocity of the corona disease.
Giving the corona vaccine to medical personnel is one of the government’s concerns. The President is aware that health workers are already on duty, sometimes exceeding working hours. Even up to 12 hours when the corona patient was booming. They also sacrifice feelings. Do not dare to go home, for fear of potentially infecting the child and their partner.
Doctors and other health workers also have to work in hazmat suits to be protected from the virus. But unfortunately this PPE makes the wearer feel hot, even his skin is wrinkled because it has to be worn for a long time. Doctors also have to be smart in maintaining stamina in order to stay excellent in treating patients.
Therefore, the priority of this vaccine is one form of appreciation to doctors, nurses and other medical personnel. Because they have sacrificed a lot of their personal interests. They are also bound by an oath to treat patients, even though they are at great risk of contracting the Covid-19 virus, when their bodies start to weaken due to fatigue.
The government also pays attention to doctors and other health workers not only with vaccines, but also with intensive money. The specialist doctors receive 15 million rupiah per month. Dentists and general practitioners received 10 million rupiah. Nurses and midwives received intensive as much as 7.5 million rupiah per month. Meanwhile, other health workers will receive 5 million rupiah per month.
All government efforts to prioritize health workers do not mean subordinating the common people. However, health workers are more prone to being exposed to corona. Because if it is not detected during a rapid test or becomes OTG, it will potentially transmit it to patients. So this cycle must be stopped immediately so that there are no more Covid-19 patients in Indonesia.
Medical personnel are currently not afraid when they are on duty at the hospital because they will be prioritized to get the Covid-19 vaccine first. They will be injected with the corona immunization in turn, so that their bodies are immune from corona transmission. The administration of this vaccine is a form of attention from the government for their very high performance.
