We must be proud because the handling of Corona in Indonesia is better than other countries, thereby increasing the recovery rate of Covid patients while minimizing the death rate. This good handling happened because all parties worked together in overcoming the pandemic.

For two years we have been forced to adapt and maintain a healthy lifestyle because of a virus called Corona. The global pandemic has turned the world upside down. Fortunately, there are advances in medical technology so that more people survive than lose their lives.

The spokesman for the Covid-19 Task Force Team, Prof. Wiku Adisasmito, stated that the handling of Corona in Indonesia was much better than other countries. The reason is because there is good coordination (between the task force team, health workers, and volunteers). In addition, all parties (as well as the community), work together to deal with Corona.

The handling of Corona in Indonesia is better than others, because we are pioneers in carrying out vaccination programs, when compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. If the vaccine is started quickly, it will also be finished quickly, so that group immunity will quickly form and the pandemic situation will end quickly.

Vaccination is also free of charge by the government and even slots are provided for every Indonesian citizen over the age of six to be injected up to three times (booster). The government also guarantees the safety and halalness of vaccines so there is no reason to refuse them.

Compare this with other countries that still fix prices for vaccinations. The government does not want to burden the people, so the vaccine is still free. President Jokowi understands that the economic capacity of the citizens is declining during the pandemic, so he has decided not to charge a penny to pay for the vaccine.

In addition, the government also applies 3T, namely testing, tracing, and treatment. The reason is that treatment alone is not enough, but must be equipped with testing and tracing. Testing is carried out randomly but regularly (moving places) to find out what percentage of people are positive for Corona.

Testing is indeed intensified again because more and more people without symptoms are hanging around, especially if you have mild Corona, it feels like you just have the common cold. If the number of OTG can be recognized then they will be quickly rescued and treated so that they recover quickly. This will reduce the transmission of Corona, especially since Omicron is more contagious than the delta variant.

Don’t forget the tracing process because if the OTG finds out that it is positive, it must be traced after having contact with anyone. That way, people who have been in contact are also required to be tested, lest they also get Corona?

While the treatment process is also greatly assisted by the government, and it is still free (borne by BPJS). When someone is positive for Corona, they can also isolate in the provided place and it is still free, even there they also get medicine. When someone is self-isolating at home, they can take advantage of telemedicine services and call doctors for consultations.

The government is committed to dealing with Corona as best as possible and various efforts are being made. In addition to dealing with the health sector, it also handles the impact of Corona on the economy by providing various assistance, ranging from direct cash assistance to credit interest rate reductions.

When the Indonesian government is struggling to deal with Corona and its impacts, we as good citizens must support government programs, such as vaccination and 3T (testing, tracing, and treatment). Don’t even run away when there is random testing, because it actually saves you from the dangers of Corona.
