Jakarta, CIDISS – Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, known as ISIS, or now as the Islamic State (IS) become a topic of public discussion and trend at Indonesia and even the world. IS always declare its existence through social media, like youtube and other, that make controversy in the world community, because in his interpretation, IS still have an affiliation with Al-Qaeda.
IS is one of the international jihadist militant groups, but unfortunately their existence is not recognized at all either in Iraq or Syria. Because ISIS learning methods that have strayed far from Islam. IS understand Islam in half, they assume everyone and countries that do not agree with their existence is ansorut or infidel.
Over time, ISIS members grow very fast. In begining the group only consisted of no more than 30 people, slowly but surely rooted and widespread throughout the country, including Indonesia.
Propaganda strategy through social media by inserting ideology in the study or preaching, has become a powerful weapon to mobilize and recruit cadres for jihad. Jihad can be done in Syria or in the respective countries to remain under the banner of IS.
As one of the radical groups, IS has hard tasrif against the teachings of Islam, such as suicide to kill those who are considered ansorut, do fa’i or loot for the sake of jihad, and jihad that marriage has always been a controversy.
The movement of IS that provocative and radicals tend to form sporadic, opportunistic and pragmatic thick with the interests of various groups and countries that want to move underground in order to meet sectoral interests. Given the IS territory is a potential oil fields and certainly many countries are very interested in cooperation with IS, although in a way secretly of course.
Not only that, the existence of IS used by a group of international terrorist networks to amplify intensity of their terror which in recent years began to fade. The incidence of terror in Paris and Bangkok bomb is one example of terror resulting from the development of IS to the whole world. Beside that, in Indonesia idiology of IS began to develop in radical groups that led to divisions within the radical group.
IS ideology that is incompatible with the ideology of Pancasila and Bhineka Tunggal Ika that underlies NKRI, is feared to threaten the foundations of national and state where the movement of this group is not immediately contained. Not only the government, but the community participation in crushing the movement of IS is most effective maneuver for annihilating the movement of IS in motherland.
But unfortunately, there are still many Indonesian people who don’t know clearly what IS and the reasons behind the emergence of the group which is identical with the collaboration of a black flag and words of Rasullah
So no doubt when socializing, especially from the government about the dangers of IS should be accelerated, given the IS is in the process of maneuvering action to expand the teaching and increase the number of membership. [AS]
