RESPECTFUL TOWARDS CHRISTMAS, LEAD INDONESIA PEACE
By : Rashka Pratama
Nowadays Christmas has become a universal celebration day, no longer just a religious celebration of Christians. Although many people outside the Christian community refuse to join the Christmas party (even to wish Merry Christmas), it seems that more and more people are “celebrating.”
Celebrate what is meant here certainly not in a religious sense, but in a general sense, just a party and having fun on a holiday. Even in some places, Christmas is celebrated incorrectly, with riots, debauchery and doing things that are not right.
A peaceful life is everyone’s dream. The problem is, in this world we never find what the Peaceful Prosperity is. For the world peace is always temporary, and we do not know what tomorrow will happen. Man lives in the midst of uncertain hope. That’s why human beings have to accept each other and support for peace to happen and keep abreast of it.
For the peace we have, there are several criteria that go into it, namely PEACE.
P = Proclaim
E = Evangelism
A = Authority of Jesus Christ
C = Commitment
E = Energized by the Holy Spirit
True peace is, of course, unshakable peace. If there is no PEACE, let’s open the heart wide to give life to him, surely that Peace We shall have. Peace is not meant to mean we suddenly become rich nor a sudden our illness healed, but although things have not changed, the person in whose heart there is God, he will still be Peaceful.
In addition to the above, peace can also be done by respecting and appreciating the religion of religious worship. For example, in the celebration of Christmas, people who embrace other religions than Christians do not take actions that can disrupt the course of Christian worship.
