Support Government’s Efforts to Fight Corona Virus

The Indonesian government has stated that it will provide the best and maximum effort to deal with the corona virus or Covid-19. The government is actually there to protect its citizens as hard as possible and ensure the safety of every citizen. These government efforts deserve the support of all levels of Indonesian society. Because by uniting, cooperating and synergizing, Indonesia is confident that it can overcome the problem of spreading COVID -19.

President Joko Widodod (Jokowi) has instructed the formation of a protocol team for handling cases of corona virus spread or COVID-19. Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko said that a number of ministries would implement protocols according to their fields as a follow up to President Jokowi’s direction.
Moeldoko explained, the implementation of this protocol through several steps. First, the preparation of protocols for handling corona virus cases from people under surveillance (ODP) to health. Then the second step is to establish protocols for handling people entering from abroad at several border gates. Related to this, Moeldoko continued, the President emphasized that there were 135 entrances in the border region.
Third, arrange communication protocols by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Communication and Information. Finally, the establishment of an education protocol, whether carried out by the Ministry of Religion or the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Meanwhile, the Minister of the Interior (Minister of Home Affairs), Tito Karnavian through the Ministry of Home Affairs radiogram number 443.1 / 21.30 / SJ, dated March 4, 2020, asked regional heads from the Governor, Mayor and Regent levels to anticipate the spread of the Corona or Covid-19 virus in their respective regions – by increasing infection prevention and control and preventing further spread to health workers, visitors and other patients.
The Minister of Home Affairs stressed that regional governments must develop specific strategies so that virus prevention does not have destructive effects on other aspects such as social and economic. In addition, the Minister of Home Affairs also requested that health campaigns should be promoted and information related to the handling of the corona virus must be properly conveyed to the public in a transparent, responsive and consistent manner, including about healthy lifestyles, sports, eating nutritious foods, washing hands, and others.
Some time ago, the Government officially announced a case of corona virus infection or Covid-19 in the country. According to the latest information, the condition of two positive Corona virus patients treated at RSPI Sulianti Suroso has improved. This was revealed by the Director of RSPI Sulianti Saroso, Mohammad Syahril. According to him, the patient who is a mother and child no longer feels fever and also does not feel shortness of breath anymore. The two patients are in a condition that can communicate well.
To note, information related to the corona virus is done one door through the corona virus information center at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. President Jokowi has also appointed Secretary of the Directorate General of P2P of the Ministry of Health Achmad Yurianto as a special spokesperson to talk about COVID-19 Corona.
Indonesian people are expected to remain calm and not overreact and promote clean and healthy living to prevent transmission of COVID-19. The public is also urged to limit unnecessary publications and not to spread information that is confusing, lying or hoaxed about the Corona virus that can cause public panic.
