At present the term normal is being discussed by many people. This situation arises because the Covid-19 pandemic has not ended and the vaccine has not been found, but public places such as markets will be opened again, because after all the wheels of the economy must be run. But keep in mind this opening must be with strict requirements and the public must be disciplined so as not to get infected with Corona .
The community is in a state of being in the mood of new normal and seems unwilling to return to activities outside the home. Especially if you have small children who have to go to school again, that concern is getting worse. But apparently there are still many who misunderstand the term new normal , because it does not mean things are back to normal.
The new normal means the community is allowed to do more activities and be able to work as usual, but with many requirements. For example, you can travel but have to wear a mask. The shopping center was reopened but visitors were restricted and kept a distance between people. Before entering a public place, you must wash your hands in the space provided. Every 4 hours there is also cleaning there, especially on the door handles and elevator buttons which are often held by many people.
So people do not need to be afraid of contracting Corona when it enters the new normal era , because it has been designed to run well. On the other hand, we also have to be disciplined when it is allowed out and no longer freeze boredom when staying at home . When you leave the house, you must not neglect wearing a mask and always carry a hand sanitizer . When entering the house, then immediately wash your hair and change clothes to keep it hygienic.
Discipline is the key to new normal success . In addition to maintaining health and hygiene, we are also still required to keep our distance and do not have to go outside the city if there is no urgent need. Even President Joko Widodo instructed officers from the military and police to participate in the success of this program, starting from the end of May 2020. They will maintain public places to ensure that there is distance between visitors and immediately bring order if suddenly there is a crowd.
These officers also stand guard at the city border and drive the travelers and people who do the backflow from their villages. Because in the city the Corona patient chart is still high. Do not let the number of people who get the Covid-19 virus more and more. So it is hoped that the presence of these officers will not be hated by the public, but it must be understood that they are there to discipline and discipline all of us.
The public is also expected to be orderly and obey the rules that exist during the new normal era . Do not because you are allowed to leave the house, then immediately plan a vacation to another city, while not yet entering school. The new normal era is not like that. It’s okay to leave the house as long as there is an important purpose, for example, to go to work or shop for staples.
We cannot wait for the end of the pandemic which is predicted to last for 2 years, by just staying at home. However, the economy has to roll again and the markets and offices are open so that everything is moving normally. Even if you have to protect yourself and live with discipline, so that you don’t catch Corona .
The new normal era does not mean that there is easing of the PSBB because it still has to keep its distance. People may leave the house again, but must be disciplined in wearing masks and maintaining body hygiene by diligently washing hands and bathing. Order in the new normal era carried out by officers must be obeyed, because this is all for the sake of mutual safety.
