Quoted from news.com.au, a survey conducted by Roy Morgan and news.com.au, give surprising results. From those two poll, revealed that more than 50% of the sample agreed the death penalty enforced or the Australian government no longer need to look for rescue, reported by Suara Pembaruan on Friday (03/13/2015).

Based on the results of Roy Morgan poll, revealing special SMS Morgan Poll was conducted with a cross-section of 2,123 Australians over the last few days, January 23-27, 2015. For death penalty, analysing the results by voting preference shows Liberal voters strongly in favour of the executions being carried out (63% cf. 37%), as are National voters (69% cf. 31%), however both ALP voters (55% cf. 45%) and Greens voters (68% cf. 32%) are against the executions being carried out. So with another word, results from this question is, 52 percent respondent agree death penalty should be carried out and 48 percent others disagree should not be carried out.

While question about “Should the Australian Government do more to stop the execution of Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan?”, based on analysing the results by voting preference shows Liberal voters strongly of the opinion that the Australian Government should not do more to stop the execution of Myuran Sukumaran and Andrew Chan, (74% cf. 26%), as are National voters (88% cf. 12%), however both ALP voters (53% cf. 47%) and Greens voters (54% cf. 46%) believe the Government should be doing more. So respondent answer, Australian Government should do more 40 percent and should not do more 60 percent.

Not only that, as reported by Newsth.com, Former Australian Ambassador for Indonesia, Philip Flood, judging solicitation tourist boycott to Indonesia is unreasonable, because according to Philip Flood, the boycott will not affect the Indonesian government.

It is also delivered by one of the publisher’s book tourist destination, Tony Wheeler, which also one of the founders of Lonely Planet said the boycott call is skepticism, “There are thousands of executions in China and nobody say do not go to China, or hundreds of executions in the United States, but no one say do not go to America”, said Tonny.
