CIDISS (Pangkalan Bun) – In the end of 2016, close to Christmas and New Year, some countries importer of palm oil from Indonesia increase their request, and then it pushes the export of palm oil.
For export of Indonesian palm oil, Executive Director of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI), Fadhil Hasan stated that almost of countries for export, except USA and Pakistan, request to increase their need in trading.
Moreover, traders take chance when the price is low and anticipate the price rising in the next month, i.e. Close to Christmas and New Year.
“In percentage, export to Middle East country, Africa and Bangladesh increase significantly, average increase 147%, 154% and 117%. The significant increasing on volume, noted by countries of European Union, i.e 163,57.000 ton or increase 75.5% from 216,59% ton on September, increase become 380,15.000 ton on October,” said Fadhil such quote in Borneonews.co.id.
The increase of request also followed by Tiongkok with 32%, from 239,42.000 ton to 316,45.000 ton, and India noted the same increasing 32%, from 462,23.000 ton to 608,51.000 ton.
Before it, GAPKI stated export of crude palm oil (CPO) and product derivative on period of January till October 2016 reach 20,92 million ton and highest export reach on October with 2,54 ton, increase 34% from previous month.
“Export of Indonesian palm oil increase along line with the production of CPO on September and October, which in that month is the top of palm oil harvest this year. The palm oil production also increase 6,5% on October from September, i.e 3,33 million ton on September increase to 3,55 million ton on October,” said Fadhil.
