The validity of voter data has become one of the key criteria as well as a measure of the quality of the foundations of democracy and also the extent to which the successful implementation of the Election of the Head of the District (Pilkada) Serentak 2024 in Indonesia.
By the way, a 2024 Pilkada implementation will be successful and successful with good quality of democracy in the country, if it also contains data from valid voters.
With the validity of the correct voter data, it will guarantee that anyone who actually has the right to vote in the 2024 Parliamentary Election will be able to exercise their rights without fear or fear that it will not be counted, so that is a real reflection of the application of democracy.
Indeed, the quality of voter data in the 2024 Election of the District Chief is very important because it will be correlated in order to produce valid Permanent Electoral Data (DPT) so that the implementation of the political contestation at the regional level can run smoothly and more accountable.
According to the Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) Indragiri Hulu, Ronaldi Adrian that it is very important to know about the voter data, mainly in the momentum ahead of Pilkada as it is now because the whole party, primarily the organizers of the general election are committed to realizing a better execution than ever before.
In addition, the whole community, especially those who are already DPT and have the right to vote, should be able to participate, because it is true that all the parties that are active in the Pilkada, so not only from the organizers or the committee, but all the people.
Therefore, the public should be able to contribute actively by informing if there is an additional family or a decrease in the election later in order to update the voter data by the KPU.
When the updating of the voter data is realized, then it is certain that the data is true and consistent with the facts in the field. So cooperation between parties such as Electoral Data Updating Officer (PPDP) or Coklit Officers (Match and Tracking) must be able to synergize to obtain the quality and validity of voters data in the 2024 Pilkada.
So far, efforts by the KPU to continuously improve the quality of voter data, such as matching and research (cocklit) of voters’ data even directly from house to house (door to door), as well as opening up space for the public to report if any invalid voter’s data deserves high appreciation.
Meanwhile, in order to guarantee the validity of voter data, the KPU in Paser district organized an Open Plenary Meeting aimed at recapitulating the updated voter list (DPHP) and the temporary list of voters. (DPS).
The district secretary (Sekda) of Paser district, Katsul Wijaya appreciated the involvement of all parties in the voter registration, because with their input then the data could be more valid.
Because, with the validity and accuracy of voter data is an important instrument to maintain the quality of the democratic process even becomes a measure of the success or success of the implementation of Pilkada Unientak 2024.
All officials should play a pro-active role in providing their input to the public to correct all their data that is not in line with voter data.
Not that there are people who actually have the right to vote but at the time of the election, they can’t use the right of vote at all or have difficulties in giving the right.
Together, the entire party will be able to continue to monitor every stage and process of the Election of the District Chief, from the stage of the voter list to the completion of the ballot.
If the spirit of unity and unity continues to be embedded in all the cross-sectoral elements, then it is not impossible to a peaceful, secure, peaceful and conducive regional level democracy party.
KPU RI Commissioner Idham Holik stated that the quality of democracy is direct relative to the level of active participation of the people in the exercise of their right to vote, because it also shows how electoral integrity.
Indonesia must continue to experience an improvement in the quality of democracy, especially in the face of the 2024 Unilateral Pilkada. An attempt to that, one of which is to maintain the level of public participation in the Election of the District Chief.
Not only is participation of a momentary nature, so that not only does the people give their votes on the day of the vote and it is done, but the whole element of the citizens should also be able to follow every stage of the Pilkada and to monitor it.
The efforts to improve the quality of democracy in Indonesia and also to guarantee the success and success of the Election of the Head of the District (Pilkada) in 2024 continue the KPU to do with various measures, one of which is to ensure the validity and accuracy of voter data which is one of the key important or measure of the enforcement of democratic principles.
