The Health Bill is very supportive of many parties, including the people in Indonesia itself because with this regulation, the quality of health services continues to increase. Then also side with the interests of local doctors because it can lead to healthy competition with competent salaries.

The Head of the Bureau of Communication and Public Services of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes RI), Siti Nadia Tarmizi stated that overall the policies that have been contained in the Health Draft Law (RUU) are even directly related to the improvement of health services in the country.

It should be noted that currently the Health Bill continues to be discussed by the House of Representatives (DPR RI) together with the Government. Even so, of course in a public policy-making, there must be a number of points which then make some parties disagree.

Especially when talking about how the principles of democracy are implemented in Indonesia, so that there is disagreement or differences of opinion among the people is actually a normal thing and does not need to be used as a prolonged polemic.

In fact, it is also known that several points where protests from professional organizations were only a small part and this only concerned the authority of professional organizations, which is not about the interests of society at large, because in fact the content or substance of the Health Bill simply does not exist. problems, especially those that are directly the Government’s efforts to continue to improve health services for people in the country.

For example, one of the things that continues to be highlighted and seems to make this Health Bill problematic, even though in fact the content or substance is very useful for improving health services for the public is regarding the plan to implement multi-organizations of the medical profession in Indonesia.

By some parties, the plan to implement multi-professional organizations is considered risky to create double standards in upholding professional ethics. Then, in fact, in responding to this polemic, the Government of Indonesia itself already has a solution.

The solution offered is with the Government’s suggestion that the Draft Health Law does not regulate the formation of professional organizations, because it refers to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia in Article 28E in paragraph 3 (three) that it is stated there that the state guarantees that everyone has the right to freedom of association, assembly and expression of their opinions. So actually the polemic over the multi-organization implementation plan has also found a solution and it doesn’t need to be a problem anymore.

So that it is clear, the formation of professional organizations as non-governmental community institutions is returned to their respective professions and also has a role to be able to assist the government in carrying out professional development in which it is occupied.

Meanwhile, the Health Bill Guard Team stated that the Health Bill was in fact in favor of all Indonesian people. Not only as an effort to improve health services, but also to be able to open investment opportunities for hospitals with international service quality, which in the future can better serve the people in the country and also provide increasingly high-quality health service choices for the public.

So, with an increase in the quality of health services, it is even possible to have a quality equivalent to that of an international hospital, so that in the future when people really want to get a very good service, they don’t have to bother anymore with having to seek treatment abroad to get it, because in Indonesia itself everything is also well prepared.

In fact, it is actually a great hope that with the improvement in the quality of health services in Indonesia, in the future it will actually encourage more people from abroad to come to the country for treatment, so that they are also able to further increase state revenues to accelerate national economic recovery as well.

It’s not enough to just get there, but with the existence of the Health Bill, there will be much healthier competition between local doctors, because they also have the opportunity to work in KEK Hospitals. So that later local health facilities (faskes) will be able to continue to compete in a healthy manner with service innovations and salary standards that continue to increase for the welfare of local doctors.

Then regarding the Professional Organizations earlier, in the Health Bill it is actually not eliminated at all, but regulated, which were previously independent organizations to become partners with the government later. With this arrangement, then the authority of professional organizations is often misused, namely related to STR and SIP which could hinder other doctors from practicing.

In other words, it is very clear that the government’s alignment, through the existence of the Health Bill, benefits the community because with the existence of increasingly improved quality health services, this includes actually being very supportive of the interests of local doctors as well because it is possible to guarantee an increase in their welfare with competent salaries. and also not to allow professional organizations to abuse their authority.
