Appreciation of Security Forces for Successfully Assaulting KST Papua’s Nests for the sake of Upholding the Law
Very high appreciation should be given to the security forces personnel who succeeded in carrying out raids on the nests of the Papuan Separatist and Terrorist Group (KST) and also succeeded in upholding the law fairly and firmly. All of this is of course done to ensure security in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has carried out a raid on the headquarters of the separatist and terrorist group (KST), which is located in Yahukimo District, Papua Mountains Province. With this raid, it was discovered that as many as 9 (nine) members of the gang had been arrested.
In this regard, the Head of the Public Relations Division of the Papua Regional Police (Kabid Humas Polda), Senior Commissioner of Police (Kombes Pol) Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo stated that the raid was carried out on Jalan Paradiso behind the Anggruk Complex, Dekai District, Yahukimo on Thursday. on May 3, 2023 at around 03:00 WIT.
The raids carried out by security forces from the joint personnel were not only carried out by the Yahukimo Police, but also assisted by the Cartenz Peace Task Force 2023.
Then, during the raid on the KST Papua nest, the security forces also confiscated a number of their personal documents, including 1 (one) homemade firearm, which was allegedly used to terrorize the community.
Indeed, so far this gang of separatist and terrorist groups has not stopped disturbing the people in Indonesia, especially in Cenderawasih Earth itself. How could it not be, because they continue to carry out a series of actions that are completely inhumane and continue to endanger lives, and also continue to threaten security and stability in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
Also included, some of the confiscated items that were successfully secured by the joint personnel security apparatus from the raid were bags, electronic devices, several sharp weapons in the form of arrows, axes, machetes, knives, scissors, air rifles and other tools.
Meanwhile, Yahukimo Police Chief, AKBP Arief Kristanto revealed that all members of the KST Papua along with all the evidence from the raid, had all been taken to the Yahukimo Police.
Currently, in a marathon manner, the security forces are continuing to carry out in-depth investigations of the 9 (nine) members of the separatist and terrorist group in Papua. In particular, further investigations and in-depth investigations were carried out to find out whether they were also related to or involved in several incidents of persecution that occurred within the jurisdiction of the Yahukimo Police.
It is known that during the raid, all activities around the location were monitored quietly and also continued to run with full conduciveness. Of course the success in creating a conducive situation and capturing the Papuan KST gang deserves to be given such a high appreciation because it is one of the real works of the role of the security apparatus from joint personnel consisting of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Police and the State Intelligence Agency (BNI). Law enforcement is indeed something that must be done, especially when it comes to and is related to the activities of separatist and terrorist groups that have so far continued to disturb the security of the people in Papua. because with strict and just law enforcement, it is hoped that in the future there will be no more tense situations in Cenderawasih Earth so that the area can become an area that is safe, comfortable and full of peace.
Furthermore, from the results of the in-depth investigation and examination of the raids and raids on the KST Papua nest, the Head of Public Relations Unit for Ops Damai Cartenz, Kombes Donny Charles Go explained that as many as 3 (three) of the 9 (nine) people who were successfully arrested were the perpetrators of the murder. against 2 (two) members of the community at Yahukimo on 30 April 2023.
One of the things that was quite astonishing was that the three of them who were the perpetrators of the murder case in Yahukimo were still very young, namely 18 years old. This shows that so far the movement and regeneration efforts within KST Papua itself have been quite massive. In fact, they don’t hesitate to recruit children in their teens who are actually still not stable enough regarding their emotional condition.
So that it is not only a real threat to security in Indonesia and Papua in particular, but this separatist and terrorist group in Cenderawasih Land also seriously threatens the nation’s next generation because they have succeeded in brainwashing young people to become their members and have even committed heinous acts.
In order to continue to maintain and carry out security in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), it is indeed very important that law enforcement can be carried out optimally. Therefore, this effort deserves a huge appreciation, because the security forces in the country succeeded in carrying out raids on KST Papua nests and carried out arrests and investigations of members of the group.
