The State Intelligence Agency (BIN) of the Republic of Indonesia initiated the construction of the Archipelago Student Dormitory (AMN) located in Manado as a symbol of unifying all the nation’s children in the country.
The State Intelligence Agency’s AMN Development Working Group (Pokja), Deputy Chair of the Working Group, Idham Malik, revealed that the construction in Manado was the second of the 6 AMNs planned to be built throughout Indonesia by BIN.
The main basis for the construction of the AMN is based on Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 106 of 2021 concerning Archipelago Student Dormitory, which will be built in 6 locations.
It is known that previously, the Nusantara Student Dormitory was also successfully initiated by the State Intelligence Agency in the City of Heroes Surabaya, where the building was inaugurated on November 29 2022 directly by the President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Then, planning for AMN development by BIN will continue in several other locations in the country such as Yogyakarta, the Special Capital Region (DKI) Jakarta, Malang and Makassar.
The main objective of building the Nusantara Student Dormitory itself is as a forum to further unite all students and female students in various regions throughout the archipelago, including native Papuan students.
So, in the future, with the existence of a forum in the form of AMN, it is hoped that they will all be able to know and appreciate each other’s different cultures and still be able to maintain harmony in order to strengthen relations between the nation’s children within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
Likewise, the Director of Strategic Infrastructure of the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Human Settlements of the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) of the Republic of Indonesia, Essy Asiah, also said that the construction of AMN was indeed a forum for uniting students from various ethnicities, languages, cultures and religions. come from various regions in Indonesia.
Therefore, it is very important for all people in Indonesia to participate in fully supporting the successful construction of the Nusantara Student Dormitory in Manado, which is also one of the infrastructure directives from the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
For information, the regulations for implementing the AMN development in Manado itself were implemented in approximately 8 months, so in less than 8 months, of course BIN is committed to being able to complete it very well. So it is important for all parties to be able to oversee this work together because synchronization is needed so that development can run optimally, on time, with the right quality, with the right financing and with the right administration.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW) of North Sulawesi (Sulut) Province, Nurdiana Habibie, said that the construction process of AMN Manado will be carried out with multi-year contract (MYC) financing T.A 2023-2024 and is planned to be completed in August next 2024.
In terms of scope, the construction of the Nusantara Student Dormitory in Manado consists of work on the men’s dormitory tower, women’s dormitory tower, meeting hall, multi-purpose room, sports field, garden, road access and parking area. Meanwhile, the design is used in accordance with state development technical standards as mandated by PP Number 16 of 2021 concerning implementing regulations for Law Number 28 of 2022 concerning buildings.
The Governor of North Sulawesi (Sulut) Province, represented by the North Sulawesi Provincial Secretary (Sekprov), Steve Kepel, also hopes that in the future the AMN Building can contribute to the development and improvement of the quality of Human Resources (HR) in his region.
Not just physical work in the form of building construction, the Nusantara Student Dormitory is also a symbol of the State Intelligence Agency’s commitment to human resource development. Because through the development of AMN itself, it will be able to create a very conducive environment for students from various regions in Indonesia to learn, be creative and collaborate.
The construction of AMN in Manado is a significant step in fully supporting BIN’s vision of creating a superior young generation and in future they will be ready to compete at the national level and can even compete at the international level.
In the construction of the Nusantara Student Dormitory, it is hoped that environmentally friendly technology will be implemented as a form of nature conservation. So that in this way, the development work can become an example for various other projects in the future in respecting and preserving the environment.
As a concrete manifestation of a unifying symbol for all the nation’s children in Indonesia, the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) initiated the construction of the Archipelago Student Dormitory (AMN) in Manado.
