BALI — President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) opened the 2023 Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum gala dinner in Bali. Jokowi hopes that this gala dinner can strengthen cooperation between island countries.
Taking place at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), President Joko Widodo explained that the 2023 AIS Forum Summit was a momentum to further strengthen collaboration between island countries.
“Welcome to Bali, welcome to Indonesia, to the first high level meeting of the AIS Forum Gala Dinner. “Forum to strengthen collaboration among Archipelagic and Island State Countries,” he said.
According to the Head of State, the ocean is a shared life and is able to unite all parties.
Apart from that, in the ocean there are a lot of resources that must be able to continue to be managed responsibly.
“Ocean is our life, ocean units our people and ocean provides many resources that we have to manage in a responsible manner. “Let us florist our friendship and please enjoy the evening,” concluded President Jokowi.
Indonesia as the host of the 2023 AIS Forum Summit is very experienced in trying to make the event run smoothly.
One of them is from the security sector, where readiness has even been held long ago.
Efforts to ensure this readiness are carried out by holding a tactical floor game (TFG) from the security forces.
“This TFG activity is very important to strengthen the readiness of the elements involved in securing the 2023 AIS Forum Summit event which will be held in Bali from 10 to 11 October,” said Inspector General Firman in a written statement to journalists.
It is hoped that the existence of the TFG will be able to make the security forces better prepared to deal with various situations of disturbances that may occur.
“I hope that in this activity we can find things that have not been predicted so far, so that we can anticipate them and be more mature in facing the next level of TFG activities,” said Firman.
On the same occasion, the Bali Regional Police Chief also agreed with the same thing that the TFG was carried out to further prepare all personnel for security and ensure that the 2023 AIS Forum Summit was held smoothly.
“In this Tactical Floor Game, the aim is to find out details about the implementation of security for Rings 1, 2 and 3, which may be implemented dynamically, but with this initial planning, the implementation will not change much even during the 2023 AIS Forum Summit. “the situation will be dynamic,” concluded the Bali Police Chief.
