OPM’s Decisive Action, Security Forces Successfully Restored Papua’s Stability and State Sovereignty

The security forces succeeded in restoring conducive regional stability in the Land of Papua and continued to protect the sovereignty of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) by taking firm action against the Free Papua Organization (OPM).
Firm action against the OPM is very important and the ranks of the security forces deserve full support, because if these efforts are successfully carried out, it is not impossible that regional stability in Papua and state sovereignty can be well maintained.
The reason is, so far the existence of the OPM has often caused disruption to regional stability in the Land of Papua, and has even seriously threatened state sovereignty.
The Cartenz 2024 Peace Task Force (Satgas) succeeded in arresting a member of a separatist gang enemy of the state named Rife Kerebea alias Trisna Telenggen who was suspected of being involved in a number of cases ranging from murder to the shooting on the Wings Air plane which occurred some time ago.
The arrest of the OPM member took place in Nduga Regency, Central Papua, on Saturday 17 August at 04:30 WIT. Rife is also a member of Egianus Kogoya’s leadership which has been involved in many heinous and barbaric acts.
Head of the Public Relations Task Force (Kasatgas Humas) for the Cartenz 2024 Peace Operation, Police Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Bayu Suseno said that Rife Kerebea also has quite an important role in the OPM troops led by Egianus Kogoya.
This important role is because through their headquarters in Alguru Village, Krepkuri District, Nduga Regency, they are tasked with monitoring the movements of all levels of the Indonesian National Army (TNI), Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).
Not only carrying out monitoring, he is also tasked with assisting in the distribution of logistics to headquarters and monitoring posts, as well as providing advice to OPM.
Rife has been on the People’s Wanted List (DPO) since 2023, where he has been involved in many inhumane cases such as killing civilians, then stealing firearms (senpi) and shooting down a Wings Air plane in February 2024.
Therefore, the security forces then claimed that they would continue to make very strict law enforcement efforts against all members of the terrorist gangs who were enemies of the country so that they could all be held accountable for their actions before the law.
Very good synergy from all levels of the TNI, Polri and BIN security forces was able to take firm action against OPM by arresting a DPO named Rife Kerebea alias Erik alias Trina Telenggen who was Egianus Kogoya’s subordinate.
Head of Operations (Kaops) Damai Cartenz 2024, Brigadier General of Police (Brigjen Pol) Faizal Ramadhani said that after the team found out the whereabouts of the perpetrator, they immediately took quick action and succeeded in making the arrest without any resistance at all.
Of course, because of the strength of the security forces, the OPM cannot move so they will not have the opportunity to fight back. After that, the team immediately took Rife to the Cartenz 2024 Peace Ops Command Post at the Nduga Police for further examination.
Indeed, the existence of the Cartenz 2024 Peace Task Force in the area nicknamed Bumi Cenderawasih has a main focus, namely to enforce the law against the Free Papua Organization.
The extension of operations by the security forces through the Task Force is able to create a safe situation in Papua and enable law enforcement efforts against the OPM to make the region more peaceful and peaceful.
Meanwhile, the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Young Generation Communication Forum for the Sons and Women of Punawirawan and Men and Women of the TNI and Polri (GM FKPPI), Dwi Rianta Soerbakti, firmly gave his full support to efforts to eradicate OPM’s barbarity and atrocities.
There must be no further compromise from the security forces in their efforts to completely crush the terrorist gangs that threaten the country’s sovereignty because they continue to create terror and carry out acts of violence indiscriminately, even against innocent civilians and the security forces themselves.
They are combatants who carry weapons, so they should receive very firm action. Moreover, there will never be a state within a state, as the OPM has been calling for all this time with various nonsense propaganda.
So far, the security forces have shown their seriousness and strong commitment to jointly being able to take very firm action against the terror and violence committed by the OPM in the Land of Papua.
All in order to continue to maintain peace and security on the Earth of Cenderawasih, as well as to be able to fully protect the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia from the threat of the OPM which absolutely does not want and does not want the unity and unity of all elements of society.
