PAPUA — The Free Papua Organization (OPM) is an armed terrorist group that has been very detrimental to society, causing chaos, destroying public facilities, and sacrificing many lives, both from security forces and civil society. This OPM group must be eradicated by the Government through the TNI-Polri.
Not only are they hampering Papua’s progress, the heinous actions carried out by OPM have really caused fear and worry among people who want to carry out their daily activities. The impact is that economic activities in Papua are not running properly.
Papuan Traditional Leader, Yanto Eluay said that OPM continues to carry out its heinous actions resulting in loss of life, loss of property and loss of life which has the impact of hampering economic activity.
“The (OPM) actions resulted in many casualties, property losses and property losses. “These actions also have an impact on creating a situation that is not peaceful, safe, comfortable and even has an impact on economic processes and economic activities that do not run smoothly,” said Yanto Eluay.
Furthermore, Yanto Eluay said that the Government through the security forces could respond to the brutal actions carried out by the OPM by carrying out law enforcement or legal action.
“I really hope things like this don’t continue to happen. “The government and TNI-Polri must create a safe and peaceful situation,” he added.
“As a Papuan Traditional Leader, I also continue to urge the collaboration of all Papuan people, including Religious Leaders, Community Leaders, Women’s Leaders, Youth Leaders, and the entire community together to commit to realizing a peaceful and peaceful Papua,” he concluded.
