The State Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BIN RI) initiated the development of the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH), which in its progress to date has been able to provide a stimulus for the progress of youth in Bumi Cenderawasih.
This actually shows that the true potential of young people in all corners of the country is the same, even though they come from Papua. However, so far there is still a lack of adequate facilities and platforms to continue developing their potential. So the construction of PYCH has a very significant impact.
The reason is, in the Papua Youth Creative Hub (PYCH) itself, all youth in Bumi Cenderawasih will receive a lot of provisions or stimulus which will be very useful for them to progress and develop into better individuals as the nation’s next generation.
One concrete example of the progress of Papuan youth which has been realized thanks to guidance and various stimuli from PYCH is the birth of the Hngateri Arts Group which consists of young people from the easternmost province of the country, where they are now able to penetrate the international arena by appearing in one of the festival event in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The Papuan young people who are trained by the State Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BIN RI) continue to make brilliant achievements. No half-hearted, in fact their achievements are not only on the national stage, but have also penetrated the international world.
The Hngateri Arts Group from PYCH brings the rich culture of Papua to the international stage in the Land of Dutch Windmills. Regarding this, the Secretary General (Sekjen) of the Papua Youth Creative Hub, Frianapatri Meilaine Osok, explained that the event was an invitation from the Missiemuseum Steyl, Amsterdam.
Receiving such an invitation, all parties from PYCH including the Hngateri Arts Group felt very enthusiastic about sharing their cultural riches with the international world. Moreover, it is through art that various important messages can be conveyed to the audience, even across languages.
With very burning enthusiasm and strong determination, the Hngateri Arts Group is ready to bring Papuan culture to the international stage, even in the Netherlands. They are not just a penny group, but are now ambassadors of Papuan culture who can bring hope and inspiration to the world.
All PYCH young people assisted by BIN under the leadership of the Head of BIN, Police General (Ret.) Tan Sri Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan has been successful and able to perform very well on various stages, not only at the national level, but internationally.
They have all succeeded in making achievements in various other countries, such as Italy and the United States (US) by continuing to bring along the richness of Papuan culture through various activities.
It is not surprising that young people educated by the State Intelligence Agency through the Papua Youth Creative Hub are able to develop and become more empowered, because in an effort to create prosperity for all the people of Bumi Cenderawasih, various activities that directly touch the lives of residents in various villages in the region continue to be held.
The General Chairperson (Ketum) of PYCH, Simon Tabuni, said that this activity was carried out door to door by going directly from house to house, coming into contact with people in all villages in Papua by listening and trying to realize their aspirations regarding their needs.
In fact, currently PYCH itself has management in as many as 35 districts or cities in Cenderawasih Earth, they continue to actively carry out various kinds of activities directly in the community, and do not just focus centrally on the PYCH Building.
Not only does it hold activities on big holidays, but also many kinds of activities are carried out regularly, both daily, weekly and monthly in all villages in Papua.
These various activities clearly bring a lot of benefits to the people of Bumi Cenderawasih, such as the development of coffee in the Arfak Mountains, then the development of Sago Kais tourism in South Sorong, there is also training for packaging MSME products, providing business capital and production equipment, participation in local scale government , national to international.
Many festival events and various other activities have had a very positive impact on the development of creativity and business innovation for young Papuans and the indigenous Papuan community (OAP) in general. Currently, PYCH has even become a symbol, pioneer and pride in the progress of all young Papuans.
As the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK), Muhadjir Effendy, said, efforts to build Papua’s progress must start with developing youth first, because they are the driving force and strategic asset for ongoing development in a region into the future.
The empowerment of the entire young generation of Papua is very optimal thanks to the existence of PYCH, which is a program initiated by the State Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, which includes a lot of stimulus provisions for the progress of these young people.
