Support the Success of the Transition for a New Government and the Continuation of Development.

Jakarta, – On October 20, 2024, elected President Prabowo Subianto and elected Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka will be inaugurated. Therefore, the government transition must proceed effectively. This was conveyed by President Jokowi during the cabinet meeting at the IKN.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) emphasized that the new government, with the elected president and vice president Prabowo Subianto-Giban Rakabuming Raka, can start working and move swiftly right after the inauguration is completed.

This was conveyed during the second and final Plenary Cabinet Meeting with the ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet at the Garuda Palace IKN, East Kalimantan (September 13).

“We all must fully support the elected president’s program, ensuring that the government transition runs effectively,” said Jokowi.

Jokowi asked the ministers to fully support the elected president Prabowo Subianto and his vice president Gibran Rakabuming Raka so that the transition to the new government runs effectively.

Jokowi provided guidance that if new regulations or policies are needed, they should be created immediately.

“If a policy formulation is needed that must be created immediately, it should be made, and completed promptly, especially for the flagship programs of the elected President,” he said.

Furthermore, Jokowi emphasized that after the inauguration, the new government should be able to work immediately and run swiftly.

The second plenary cabinet meeting will be held during the President’s office period in the IKN until one day before the inauguration of the elected president and vice president on October 19, 2024.
