2019 Election Completed, MUI Convey Peace Message to Indonesia

After the 2019 Election was successfully implemented, the Indonesian people must always maintain the unity and unity of the nation must be re-enforced by every Indonesian people.

The Secretariat General of the MUI, Anwar Abbas, said that the people would remain calm to restrain themselves while maintaining the same kinship among the nations. Anwar appealed to all elements of society to remain calm and always try to maintain the ukhuwah and the kinship that exists and not do things that can damage our unity and unity as a nation.

He added that although there were already a number of quick count survey institutions, the MUI hoped the community would continue to be guided by the official vote count results from the General Election Commission or KPU.

He said, but that should be used as a basis and the reference is the official calculation result from the KPU.

The MUI also hopes that the KPU can complete its duties by remaining professional and transparent so as not to cause disappointment from the Indonesian people.

He revealed, the MUI expects the KPU to work professionally, honestly, fairly, transparently and accountably. So that people can accept the results of this election with sincerity and loyalty.

However, if there are still parties who are disappointed, the MUI hopes that everything can be resolved with the right rules.

He added, if after the KPU announced the results of the calculations and there were objections, the MUI appealed for the matter to be resolved through legal channels by submitting a lawsuit in accordance with the existing regulations.For this reason, we should jointly realize peaceful politics. By inviting people to give enthusiasm or motivation to those who are elected, to build Indonesia. Inviting all levels of people to go together to a peaceful gate, to give birth to people who are honest and can lead Indonesia in the future.
