Education and Culture become Indicators of Nation’s Progress

Education and Culture are indicators of the progress of a nation. Therefore, to improve education and promote culture, seriousness is needed in managing and managing it so that it can produce quality human resources, character and competitiveness.

Representing the Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud) Muhadjir Effendy at the Education and Culture Festival held at the Medan Fortress Field, he said, all parties must be grateful for various achievements in the fields of education and culture. He said, starting from the PAUD, now PAUDisasi, namely children aged 5-6 years must join PAUD. He said, with PAUDisasi, children’s learning readiness would increase so that the drop out would not happen again. We will welcome a brighter future for Indonesia that is intelligent, characterized, and competitive.

According to him, in addition to the achievement of quality and access for students, concern for the welfare of teachers has also become a major concern of the government. The achievements have also conveyed how the position and role of teachers in Indonesia has been far better than in previous years. Two-thirds of our budget is for teachers and we will continue this as the budget increases.

Likewise, the promotion of culture, according to him, is important because one of the characteristics of a large and rich nation is a cultured nation. So if America is a superpower in the military field, Indonesia is a superpower in the cultural field. That is what we are not talking about, but UNESCO’s Assistant Director General of Culture, Francesco Bandarin.The importance of the role of education and culture in determining the success of development, especially human resources. For this reason, education and culture are a momentum of good collaboration. Let us preserve it as our capital to build a better Indonesia.
