The narrative of hatred, intolerance, and radicalism is getting stronger in the midst of society. The Contrast Note (11/14/2018) shows that intimidation and violence in the name of religion are still increasing and repetitive from year to year. A culture of peace and mutual understanding becomes marginalized. Social media is one of the fertile lands with the actions that are counter to the values of unity. An anonymous nature allows everyone to freely create intolerant and hostile content disseminating accounts.
This fact about the polarization of society must be taken very seriously and seriously. As an unhealthy and unproductive tendency, he must not drag on. In turn, he will have an impact on the unity and unity of the nation, as well as national security.
Various approaches continue to be pursued to end polarization. However, without awareness, willingness and participation of the community, all attempts at the approach will be in vain. Because, in the end, the decisive factor is in the willingness and good intentions of all the communities in this country. This is where we are smart to look at who and what groups really have goals that are not in line with the ideals of the nation and have a hidden agenda. They are none other than one of them, namely a radical group that wants to continue to destroy. Indonesian order in the frame of Pancasila and NKRI is according to their wishes.
Now, ideally, there will be no more political rivalry between communities, because the 2019 political year that culminates in the presidential elections has ended, and has been finalized by the Constitutional Court’s decision on June 27, 2019. Again, ending the rivalry must be a will and spirit with all elements nation. Let the stage of political rivalry be filled and acted on by politicians as a means to fight for the aspirations of their respective constituents.
It is worth remembering and underlining by all communities that for politicians, there is no eternal rivalry, there is no eternal enemy and no lasting friends or members of the coalition. The only thing that is eternal in politics is interest. When you talk about interests, the question always arises who gets what and who should take precedence.
If so, it is clear that there is no reason at all for the grassroots elements of the Indonesian people to maintain or maintain polarization today. Keep in mind that when the political elite speaks of interests and division, grassroots people don’t even have access to know.

Learning from the root of the problems that gave birth to a number of excesses throughout the 2019 political year period, all communities have been reminded of the urgency of maintaining national unity and unity. Five-year political rivalries are inevitable. But that rivalry must never damage or destroy the unity and integrity of the nation.
Indeed, political rivalry is always needed. However, the rivalry must be healthy, in the sense that it is carried out with the right ethics plus the narrative that is mature and intellectual. It is unlawful if political rivalries encourage the polarization of society, and also haram if behavior and political narratives do not educate society.
The unity and unity of the Indonesian nation is an ancestral heritage. This inheritance is also the strong foundation of national unity and integrity, because it is full of tolerance and willingness to accept, acknowledge and respect differences. This legacy, along with the philosophy and foundation of the state of Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, has undergone several trials that are not light.
Indeed, history records that there are always communities that want to deny, even try to harm and erase that inheritance. However, with all the risks that must be accepted, all the tests have always been won thanks to the unity and unity of the nation. In fact, every generation is only asked to take care of the ancestral heritage, and never stain or undermine it. Learn from history that tells about the spirit and courage to maintain the existence of the NKRI.
So for the sake of national unity and unity, the current polarization of society cannot be protracted. Harmonization of the life of the nation, state and society must be immediately restored, at all costs. Inter-community rivalries that are sparked by SARA sentiments or other heretical ideologies should no longer be given space. For the sake of the establishment of the Republic of Indonesia, the unity and unity of the nation has become a dead price.
