INDEPENDENCE IS “A FREE FLOW DRINKING COFFEE” THE UNITY IS “DRINKING COFFEE ALL TOGETHER”
As we know we were independent on August 17, 1945 which was proclaimed by the first President of the Republic of Indonesia, namely Ir. Sukarno. Indonesian independence is indeed known as one of the national tragedies that is in dire need of struggle. The meaning and meaning is very large for the Indonesian people at the expense of many of the heroes who fought. With this historical event in mind, our sense of nationalism towards the Indonesian Nation will increase.
Speaking of independence, many opinions have emerged with different delivery. Some of them I have tried to interview 5 members of the South Mukomuko Sector Police, located in Medan Jaya Village, Ipuh District, Mukomuko Regency on Tuesday, August 13, 2019.
According to Aipda Dwi Cahyono (Head of South Mukomuko Police Station), Independence is freedom, unity is cooperation, the spirit of independence and unity is defined as the spirit of unity.
According to Aipda Hery Giyantoro (Kanit Sabahara South Mukomuko Sector Police), the spirit of independence is a form of enthusiasm as the successor of the nation to fight for our country red and white to death. Unity, even though our different ethnic groups must remain united.
According to Aipda Tri Winarno (Bhabinkamtibmas South Mukomuko Sector Police), Independence is defined as “drinking coffee to your heart’s content”. Unity is “Drinking coffee together” (hahahaha)
According to Bripka Benikno Aquino (Bhabinkamtibmas South Mukomuko Sector Police), Independence is to explore and be grateful for what we feel at the moment. Because now we are independent, and don’t forget we must commemorate this independence by carrying out positive activities.
According to Brigadier Feby Agus Triansyah (Bhabinkamtibmas South Mukomuko Sector Police), independence is rising from adversity. Unity is togetherness.
Indonesia has thousands of islands and 5 largest islands namely Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Papua, has more than 500 languages, has 6 religions, and has many tribes and races. This means that the country of Indonesia is a country rich in culture. Not that with differences in religion, ethnicity, language and race, Indonesia is divided into “majority” and “minority” groups. Precisely with the wealth and diversity means the greater the strength of the nation to maintain independence.
Independence is a “golden bridge” or a gateway to a just and prosperous society. Independence does not mean that the struggle of the Indonesian people is over. Indonesia is already independent and free from Japan and the Netherlands. But Indonesia is not completely free from invaders. there is the term ‘colonizing one’s own nation’, colonizing one’s own nation is more painful than colonizing a foreign nation, the term is intended for those who behave badly, such as corruption, rape, theft, fraud, hoax spreaders and other bad behavior. It should be within each of us to instill a spirit of unity and unity, erase the selfish feeling within oneself for the common interest, for the sake of liberating our nation, the Indonesian people.
In the modernization era, new challenges arise to maintain independence. There are many ways to maintain independence, one of which is by instilling the spirit of ‘the spirit of independence’ within. The spirit of independence is defined as a form of gratitude and responsibility to maintain the independence of the Indonesian nation and to fill it with positive things such as development activities so that the Indonesian nation becomes a country that is not left behind from other developed and developing countries.
I can conclude from the 5 opinions above that as an independent Indonesian people we must be grateful for what has been inherited by the fighters, no longer should the term ‘colonize our own nation’ and naturally we must unite to defend the independence that was seized from invaders. So that … Indonesian people can still “drink coffee as much as you like”.
