The problem of national disunity is a serious concern for students from various elements of the organization. They affirmed the attitude of rejecting national divisions. Mainly due to issues of ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup (SARA).
DKI Jakarta Hima Persis Representative Ilham Nur Hidayatullah said, issues related to SARA were often used as weapons to divide Indonesian society. Ilham said that the primordial issue was a very salable issue as a selling material to divide the integrity of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia.
As intellectuals, Ilham continued, students must address and fight issues that disturb the unity and integrity of the nation. Students must be able to show that values tolerant of differences in Indonesia remain high.
Ilham said, because of that we also held a dialogue Caring for Diversity in Maintaining Unity. Because this is the right momentum to voice unity for the betterment of the nation and state.
He also invited the public to maintain a culture of mutual respect that has become the nation’s culture. Students from various backgrounds also asked the whole community to maintain conducivity after the 2019 Election.
It is hoped that the public will become connoisseurs of intelligent and inedible hoaks for the progress of the nation and the nation.
