Hundreds of citizens sued DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to the 2020 Jakarta Flood Victims Advocacy Team. The reason was that Anies failed to anticipate flooding in Jakarta, causing many losses. The number has the potential to increase.
The Jakarta flood polemic is still rolling and getting hotter. The Governor is even threatened with being ousted from office. The depth of one’s expertise cannot be seen from the nimbleness of the tongue manipulating words. Promises are just promises, and now they don’t work. After two years of managing Jakarta Anies Baswedan, the flooding of scolding for its performance was deemed to be deviating.
Not only is the problem of handling floods slow, but a number of problems are waiting to be accounted for. The capital city flood that claimed the worst has finally opened a number of carcasses that were covered up. From budget circumcision to the Aibon Gate scandal. This is really embarrassing, behind the sweet words turned out to save a sad event. Yes, the Governor is incompetent to govern the city. The area which had been a hundred years the capital of Indonesia was getting worse.
The funny thing is, Anies stated confidently that as much as 85 percent of the area was not flooded, one of which was in the Kemang area. It’s true he said that he wasn’t flooded.
He claims the area is safe, because the mobile pump is functioning properly. Though the facts reveal something else. This was further strengthened by the news, floods had hit the Kemang area shortly after heavy rains lashed.

This crossing of the comments proves that Anies is indeed incompetent in dealing with floods. Its performance was increasingly questioned when a number of scandalous reports emerged. Funds with a size of 100 trillion to build flood mitigation infrastructure projects are circumcised up to 2 times. The first is around Rp. 242 billion, and the second is around Rp. 500 billion.
Anies was also accused of failing in the effort to acquire land which would be used as an additional open area and also a catchment for rainwater. However, he continued to argue that the affairs of the flood belonged to the central government. The fact is that the government has intervened and anticipated everything, the obstacle is the task of the Jakarta Provincial Government itself.

Anies is also confident that flooding is an inevitable natural disaster.

In fact, the petitioner also urged President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the Minister of the Interior to immediately act and depose Anies Baswedan.
Not to mention, Anies’s shame was increased when the central government, especially President Jokowi intervened to check the situation in the area affected by the flood. It was also mentioned Jokowi had distributed direct assistance in the form of 6000 thousand packages to residents in need. The sudden inspection in several places, such as the Cimahi reservoir, was checked for the function and completeness of the tools to function properly. So that it can help cope with the floods that hit.
This protracted problem is certainly not a good thing. Given Anies always put forward arguments that seemed to defend himself. The excuses expressed do not correspond to reality. Imaging which from the beginning has become his trademark is now increasingly visible and intolerable.
Although a number of opinions he mustered so as not to be blamed, the look in the eyes of “confusion” for reasons can not be hidden. This time the Governor was careless and seemed to underestimate. Even though flooding is a disaster, the government has helped poured a lot of funds into the allocation of disaster management. There are still 3 years remaining of the Anies government, just choose whether to joke or prove the seriousness of the performance. Especially now that the threat of overthrowing office is in sight.
