JAKARTA – Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin), Shinta Wijaya Kamdani said the implementation of the Omnibus Law on Employment Law was considered capable of effectively improving the business and investment climate in Indonesia after the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We business people believe that the Cipta Karya omnibus law is a highly expected solution,” said Shinta in a special dialogue with the theme ‘Omnibus Law Cipta Karya Post-Pandemic Covid-19 Solution, “in the Gajah Mada Area, Jakarta, Wednesday (4/22/2020 ).
Shinta said that the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic not only reacted to the country’s economy but raised new problems with many employees stopping work or being laid off.

Still according to Shinta, who is also the Omnibus Law Task Force, stressed that actually Indonesia has many potential investors who are ready, but when faced with the spread of Covid-19. Business people wait in see.

Therefore, Shinta said that with two Omnibuses the Employment and Taxation Omnibus is expected to be able to remove various obstacles in advancing the Indonesian economy including through investment.

He mentioned in the Omnibus of Employment Cipta Karya there were 18 clusters reached, namely business licensing, investment ease, employment, ease and protection of MSMEs, and ease of doing business. []
