Government Decisions and Policies for People’s Safety

All policies taken by the government are of course always based on the interests and safety of the people especially those who are the poorest and weakest. In fact, someone who used to compete politically with President Joko Widodo gave his testimony how the government really did its work in the interests of the people.
Chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Prabowo Subianto said that every decision taken by President Joko Widodo always referred to the interests of the poorest and weakest people.
In a video circulating on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, he talked about how he felt while working in President Jokowi’s cabinet.
In his video, Prabowo testified that President Joko Widodo continued to strive for the interests of the nation, state and people of Indonesia. He saw for himself, even up close how Jokowi’s decision-making methods are based on the interests and safety of the poorest and weakest people.
Prabowo admitted that he had seen firsthand President Jokowi’s commitment in ridding the Indonesian government of corruption. During this time, the eradication of corruption is an important part and commitment of President Joko Widodo’s administration.
Therefore, as the leader of the Gerindra Party chairman, Prabowo asked all levels of society to believe in the policies taken by the government. It is not possible for the government to make decisions that ultimately harm the people, nation and state of Indonesia.
Prabowo called on all parties to unite because this nation was struggling against a disaster or the plague of the Covid-19 pandemic. Where this plague is quite dangerous if it acts recklessly and does not take the steps it should.
We too can see for ourselves, how the policies set by the government are indeed for the benefit of the people. Moreover, the responsibility of President Joko Widodo’s administration is now being tested with a pandemic.
In the past, there were many forms of KKN (Collusion Corruption Nepotism) that occurred in the working world of Civil Servants (PNS). As if anyone who does not have a network or relatives will not be able to become civil servants. However, since Jokowi became the leader of this country, the culture began to be eliminated and the recruitment of new civil servants was carried out with a series of rigorous tests.
Then, many new breakthroughs in various fields are carried out for the welfare of the people. Even so, maybe there are still many who do not like and are skeptical and only see the negative sides without wanting to look at the positive. This is a blind and irrational judgment.
The latest is how the government deals with the Covid-19 outbreak. Starting from the beginning of an Indonesian citizen who was exposed to the virus, the government began to take action. Then came policies and appeals for the sake of preventing the spread of Covid-19.
But what happened? The community does not heed anything that is appealed to and results in violations that are subject to sanctions. The importance of cooperation and mutual trust between the government and the people. Because a country is not said to be sovereign when it does not have people and recognition. And vice versa, a group of people or people who do not have a leader is vanity and weakness. Therefore, criticism of the government is sometimes necessary, but being too blind and judging every policy with a negative perspective is foolishness.
Everything when viewed from the consideration of the good and bad will be balanced and not one-sided. Moreover, it is necessary to develop trust in the government because this is part of the key to the prosperity and prosperity of a nation.
