Indonesia is not yet free from the pandemic period, but has achieved an achievement by winning second place in vaccination in ASEAN. With this achievement, we are optimistic that the pandemic will end soon and life will gradually return to normal. National vaccination has been started since January 2021 and all Indonesian citizens are expected to make this program a success.
When the corona vaccine was discovered and immediately mass produced, all countries in the world were ready to vaccinate. Indonesia decided to order the covid vaccine made by Sinovac (PRC), then ordered a vaccine from another party, so that the stock was sufficient. Because the population of this country is more than 200 million people, and each person needs 2 injections.
When the Indonesian government is focusing on the success of national vaccination, there is a sweet prize in the form of winning second place in vaccination in the ASEAN region. Because in our country, there are already more than 1 million people who have received 2 vaccines, aka 2.8% of the total Indonesian citizens. So that the government’s target for the success of this program within a maximum of 12 months is expected to be successful.
Indonesia’s success is commendable. Because we are only a thin difference from Singapore. Even though the population of Indonesia is more than 200 million people. While the population in the land of lions is 5.7 million people. So that shows the seriousness of the government in the success of the national vaccination program.
If Indonesia is free of corona, it will not transmit to residents of other countries, then the ASEAN region will also be free from the covid-19 virus. Imagine if the government of a country is lazy to buy vaccines on the grounds that it is expensive, then the population will give up and it is feared that it will infect neighboring countries.
In addition, the government should be appreciated, because regulating the injection of more than 200 million people is certainly not easy. There must be a strategy on how to distribute the many ampoules of vaccines, how to store them safely, how to get cold storage. Because the Sinovac vaccine needs to be stored in a special place, so that it is not damaged and wasted.
When the government successfully initiates a national vaccination program and becomes the second best in the ASEAN region, it will also show speed in eradicating corona. President Jokowi has always wanted to finish a program quickly. Therefore, he is aiming for successful vaccination at 12 months, not 18 months as originally estimated.
The government has also been praised for providing free injections of the corona vaccine. Because in other countries, some are told to pay up to 600,000 rupiah (if it is exchanged) in one injection. This freeze shows how much the government cares for all its people. Moreover, there are many people whose financial condition fell during the pandemic, so they are happy because they got the vaccine without having to pay.
Yet if this vaccination has to pay, there will be a big profit. Because people will pay anything to be free from corona terror. But the government doesn’t want to be like that, laughing at the suffering of others. Therefore, vaccine administration will be 100% free.
The priority of vaccination must also be appreciated. When doctors, nurses and other medical personnel are prioritized for vaccines, they will be corona free. So that it will not infect the patient, because doctors are also humans, right? Can be sick and show no symptoms of corona when he is OTG. When the doctor is healthy, the patient is also enthusiastic about being healthy.
The national vaccination in Indonesia is praised for being the second best in the ASEAN region. This shows the seriousness of the government in overcoming the pandemic and its negative effects. When the national vaccination program is successful, we will immediately be free of corona, then revive the economic sector that had collapsed during the pandemic.
