The Job Creation Law Promotes Economic Growth

The Job Creation Law has been proven to increase economic growth, especially in the digital sector. When there is a transfer of broadcasts to digital, the internet speed will increase. This will have an impact on the economy, because now people prefer to shop online rather than shop at the market.
In Indonesia, the internet started to boom in 2000 and its development is getting faster. In 2021, Indonesian citizens are known as the number 2 social media user in the world. They not only use social media to encourage them, but also to sell. The number of online shops is increasing during the pandemic, because many employees have been laid off and then change their professions to become traders in cyberspace.
Unfortunately, the growth of the online marketing world is not comparable to the speed of the internet. Indonesia is considered to have slower internet speed, when compared to neighboring countries such as Singapore. Even though speed is the key, because it is typical of online shoppers who want to finish their transactions quickly, then get bills and transfer payments.
To overcome this, the government made regulations in the Job Creation Law, which would change the world of broadcasting and digital. In this rule, the network will be shifted to a digital version. Ahmad M Ramli, Director General of Post and Information Technology, Kominfo stated that the implementation of the Work Creation Law on broadcasting migration from terrestrial to digital has the potential to make telecommunications networks better.
Ramli continued, there will be opportunities to get financial benefits through the digital space. When there is a 10% increase in internet boardband, it will have an impact on the economic increase of 1%. Moreover, during the pandemic, online businesses were selling well even though the shops in the Mall were closed. In that sense, the opportunity to shop online is great.
The tendency to buy goods via online shops has indeed increased considerably since the beginning of the pandemic. The reason was, during the PSBB, people were afraid to leave the house. So that decided to buy goods through an online shop. In fact, it is more practical because you only have to take your cellphone and then order, transfer, and the order arrives quickly.
In addition, currently the online shop has various sales variants. Not only clothes, shoes and other fashion products. But also ready-to-eat food, fresh vegetables and fruit, mineral water, etc. So that people don’t have to bother shopping at the market. They also avoid crowds outside, so having an online shop really helps.
Maybe the public is asking, what is the relationship between internet speed boardband and the economic increase? For example like this. A buyer is about to place an order, but the internet is slow. He will also be slow to access mobile banking when he is about to pay, then the transaction will fail. Both the seller and the buyer will both lose, because of the drop in the signal.
Therefore, the implementation of the Job Creation Law in the broadcasting sector must be carried out immediately. For example, by improving internet networks in big cities first, then following to small cities and rural areas. The entire network has to be converted to a digital system, so that the quality improves.
When the internet network improves and the speed is faster, the online shop can upload pictures of the sale faster. He can also chat with customers, and build good relationships. So that they will continue to be loyal customers. The online shop will continue to be profitable and cause Indonesia’s economic growth to increase.
The broadcasting cluster Job Creation Law must be implemented in the field, so that there will be improvements to the internet network. So that we can enjoy a faster internet access speed. When the signal is really good, the job will go much smoother. Online trading will be more lively and profitable, and increase economic growth in this country.
