Synergy across countries and between components of society is one of the keys to accelerating economic transformation after the Covid-19 pandemic. With this acceleration, the post-pandemic economic recovery will soon be realized.

It is undeniable that Indonesia is currently one of the countries with the best handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, even among ASEAN countries. However, it is not enough just to be there, but rather the challenge going forward is how we can rise up, especially regarding the post-pandemic economic sector.

In line with this, the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, stated that there is one very important thing to influence Indonesia’s success in order to quickly rise and restore post-pandemic economic conditions. The success of this economic transformation can be easily achieved if there is a cross-sectoral synergy.

However, it is not just a cross-sectoral synergy, but also a cross-country synergy. One way that can make this synergy happen is by holding the Indonesia-Japan Track 1.5 Public Private Dialogue Forum.

Of course, with the existence of this forum, many parties hope that the economic condition in Indonesia can quickly rise and recover and even create an economic transformation as said by Coordinating Minister Airlangga. He himself admitted that he welcomed the forum’s proposal very well.

In accordance with its initial goal, namely to create a post-pandemic economic transformation in Indonesia, the forum was indeed focused on discussing various types of cooperation projects in a concrete way, which of course had an orientation towards needs, invasion and sustainable growth.

The Indonesia-Japan Track 1.5 Public Private Dialogue Forum is believed to make many positive contributions, one of which is driving the economy. In addition, the forum has also held cooperation to improve Human Resources (HR) and industrial productivity. And there will also be an increase in the quality of standardization through the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI).

Various golden opportunities in the context of economic recovery must be welcomed positively by all components of the nation. For this reason, it is also important to cooperate in the digital sector that utilizes technology called artificial intelligence and sensory. It is planned that this will be used to develop the fisheries sector, namely in an effort to reduce fishing costs.

Furthermore, collaboration or synergy that has also been carried out is in the realm of investment. Japan, which we have known so far, is very capable in producing vehicles, will provide their investment in order to encourage the development of the electric car sector which is much more affordable and also aims to further encourage the energy transition in the transportation sector so that we all switch to utilizing renewable energy and also remotely. more friendly to the environment.

As said by Coordinating Minister Airlangga previously that the important thing for creating a post-pandemic economic transformation is the synergy carried out by various sectors, even across countries, the discussions carried out in the forum also cover many things including discussions on strengthening global supply chains that focus on strengthening partnerships with SMEs in Indonesia in an effort to provide the global supply chain.

Cross-country cooperation is absolutely necessary in the context of accelerating post-pandemic economic recovery. With the collaboration of these various parties, it is hoped that the wheels of the economy will soon return to normal.
