The 2023 ASEAN Summit will be held in NTT. Indonesia as the host has prepared all the facilities, including electric vehicles. At least 200 electric vehicles have been provided for the mobility of the guests of the ASEAN Summit delegation. The participants will have the opportunity to ride these environmentally friendly vehicles while enjoying the natural beauty of NTT.
ASEAN (Association of South East Asia Nation) is an economic and political union of a number of countries in Southeast Asia which was established on August 8, 1967 in Thailand. Indonesia is an active member of ASEAN, apart from Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore and Timor Leste.
Indonesia will again become Chair of ASEAN in 2023. After becoming chairman, the 2023 ASEAN Summit will be held in this country, precisely in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) in May 2023. The ASEAN Summit is a very special event. Therefore, the government has prepared the infrastructure and facilities, including electric vehicles.
PT TAM Marketing Director Fumitaka Kawashima said that his party would provide electric cars for the 2023 ASEAN Summit. After last year’s G20 Summit, his party had the honor to again support Indonesia as the Presidency of the 2023 ASEAN Summit. Thanks to the Indonesian government for the trust and continued support.
Electric vehicles were imported directly from Japan to support the mobility of the delegation guests of the 2023 ASEAN Summit in NTT. This electric car will carry the guest delegates and be used as their official vehicle, during the Summit.
The electric car used at the 2023 ASEAN Summit is the BZ4X series. These cars are very sophisticated and use an efficient electric motor because the power is only 54.35 kWh. But he can travel up to 300-500 KM and produces 201 horsepower, and has a torque of 300 NM, if the battery is fully charged.
The use of electric cars at the G20 Summit is a concrete step for Indonesia in the energy transition. Indonesia is pioneering so that it can become a producer of electric cars as well, not only a producer of electric car batteries. This vehicle is very environmentally friendly so that it becomes a promising future car.
The use of electric cars at the 2023 ASEAN Summit is a momentum to develop the electric car industry in the country. The reason is because people see firsthand what an electric car looks like and its sophistication. It turns out that the model of an electric car is no less cool than a car that uses fuel.
If many people are interested in electric cars, people will buy them because they are interested in the good models and the economical fuel. Moreover, to charge it, you don’t need to go to a gas station like a conventional car. However, you can charge it yourself at home.
Indonesia is preparing to enter the green industry, and there is already an electric car battery factory in Eastern Indonesia. The factory resulting from this investment produces bespoke car batteries from South Korea and other countries. If there are electric vehicles at the 2023 ASEAN Summit, the delegates will be happy, because they also know that in Indonesia there are also industries that support electric vehicles, which are very environmentally friendly.
The energy transition to electric energy vehicles is very important, because it is not a conventional type of vehicle that uses energy from ordinary fuel oil. The weakness of this type of energy is that its raw materials are fossils, and its reserves are running low. Then, the emission level is also quite high so it is not environmentally friendly.
However, if it is replaced with an electric car, it will be more environmentally friendly because it has very minimal emissions. Electrical energy is a new energy, so Indonesia is getting ready to use it 100% as fuel for motor vehicles. This energy is also cleaner so that it supports Indonesia as Chair of ASEAN 2023, which is committed to keeping the world’s environment green.
Meanwhile, Marketing Director of PT TAM Anton Jimmi Suwandy, the Toyota electric car that will be used at the 2023 ASEAN Summit is the same as last year’s G20 Summit. He is currently coordinating with the government on how to make this ASEAN event a success.
However, Anton has not been able to inform how many Toyota bZ4X electric cars will be used at the 2023 ASEAN Summit. The amount will be informed separately later, but now it is being coordinated.
The electric car used at the 2023 ASEAN Summit is clear evidence of the government’s desire to expand electric vehicles in Indonesia. Commitment was shown during the Summit and hopefully the results will always be maximized.
Electric cars are also environmentally friendly so they won’t suffocate Bali’s air. This new model vehicle will also be seen by the people, so they also want it. In this way it becomes an indirect promotion, so that Indonesian people are more aware of environmentally friendly vehicles.
All participants at the 2023 ASEAN Summit will drive electric cars. They are given the best and most sophisticated facilities, as well as being environmentally friendly. Electric cars are a promising future vehicle, and their use indicates that Indonesia is ready to become a producer of electric cars, not just batteries .
