Student of Palangka Raya Achieved Achievement in International

CIDISS – Students from Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan Province achieved International achievements in the Bangkok International Intellectual Property Invention Inovation and Technology (IPITEX).
It is because after they do their research by utilizing the local wisdom of typical plant that thrives in Central Kalimantan, namely Karamunting leaves.
The students are Dhea Putri Mailani, Safitri Anggita Tunjung Sari, and Arizka Maulidyna Shafira. They are students of Madrasah Aliyah (Islamic High School/MAN) Model of Palangka Raya. They achieved a bronze medal at the event in Bangkok (IPITEX), and to obtain a predicate Special Award of the country of Canada.
In the event held on the Occasion of Thailand Inventors Day 2016 and held by the National Research Council of Thailand at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEK), 2-6 February 2016, the Dhea, Safitri Shafira presented the results of their study of Karamunting leaves. The themes is The efficacy of Karamunting leaves in the form of extracts in capsules, masks and karamunting boil.
The study, entitled “Karamunting Leaves (Rhodomyrtus Tomentosa) Oloh Itah Kea Product” that apparently managed to convince the jury. Including the attention of the President of the International Society of Toronto Innovation and Advanced Skill (TISIAS) Canada, Mr. Moonsuk Chang’s direct appreciated them by giving a Special Award.
Dhea said that this event was the discovery of various exhibitions followed 300 participants from 20 countries, come from Europe, America, Middle East, and Asia. From Indonesia itself there were 14 participants who follow the agenda. (*)
