The Indonesian government continues to ensure that law enforcement is systematic in a firm, precise and measurable way to free Pilot Susi Air from KST Papua. The law enforcement efforts were carried out to the fullest, which also involved many other parties who participated in helping to quell the terrorist group.

Until now, Susi Air Airline Pilot from New Zealand, Captain Philip Mark Mehrtens continues to be hostage to the Papuan separatist and terrorist group (KST) led by Egianus Kogoya. With the pilot still not released, maximum rescue efforts continue to be pursued by all levels of the security apparatus personnel of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), Indonesian National Police (Polri) to the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).

In fact, all security forces and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) optimized their efforts to save the Susi Air Pilot in many ways, including through a persuasive approach, namely conducting negotiations and dialogue. The dialogue effort also involved many other parties such as community leaders, religious leaders to the Regional Government, namely the Nduga Regency Government (Pemkab).

But of course it’s not just persuasive efforts being made, but the security forces themselves have also prepared many other alternative strategies or steps, this is to anticipate if in a persuasive way they are still not able to succeed in getting KST Papua to release Captain Philip Mark Mehrtens.

The security forces of the TNI, Polri and BIN already have special operating standards that must be carried out in an effort to uphold the law and are committed to implementing the law fairly and taking firm action against all gangs of separatist and terrorist groups in Cenderawasih Earth who continue to carry out this series of acts of cruelty.

Regarding the strict legal action against KST Papua, the Regional Military Commander (Pangdam) XVII / Cenderawasih, Major General (Mayjen) TNI Muhammad Saleh Mustafa emphasized that everything has its own time limit before later the security forces will strictly carry out the mission to free the Susi Air Pilot. from the hands of the mob because this hostage-taking incident has really become his party’s attention.

If the time limit has arrived, then the joint security personnel of the TNI, Polri and BIN will be ready to take measured and targeted actions. At present it is known that all members themselves have been prepared with specially selected troops to carry out their duties, where previously they had also been equipped with upholding human rights (HAM) principles.

In the operation or mission to rescue the Susi Air Pilot from the hands of KST Papua, the Military Commander himself has also appointed the 172 / PWY Commander of the Military Resort Command (Korem), Brigadier General (Brigjen) TNI JO Sembiring as the Commander of the TNI Operations Command (Danpolakpos) to lead the operation. and also cooperate with the Cartenz Peace Task Force.

So it is very clear that with all the preparations made by the security forces, actually technically and tactically, all of them are very well prepared. Then, regarding efforts to enforce the law, coordination has also been carried out with the staff of the New Zealand Embassy (Ambassador) where they also fully support the efforts of the security forces in the country in the rescue mission operation.

Indeed, the mission to rescue and release Pilot Susi Air itself continues to be the main priority of the security forces. Then the current position is that 100% (percent) of all security personnel from the TNI, Polri and BIN have controlled Paro District, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains.

In the same vein, the Head of the Papua Regional Police (Kapolda), Inspector General of Police (Irjen Pol) Mathius D Fahiri also emphasized that the negotiation process was indeed continuing. But on the other hand, the Cartenz Peace Task Force itself has also prepared appropriate, firm and measurable law enforcement steps.

For now, the security forces are still maximizing their negotiation efforts. In fact, the talks or dialogue itself have also involved a number of other parties including from the church to further support the negotiations being carried out, which includes the Church Council and the Bishop.

It didn’t just stop there, but the Government of Indonesia through the security forces also partnered with the Nduga Regency Government in collaboration with the Police and the National Human Rights Commission (Komnas). The Papuan Police have also sent their special team to carry out the negotiations.

It is indeed very important that there is a very precise calculation from the security forces, namely in the effort to rescue Pilot Susi Air who is being held hostage by KST Papua to use law enforcement that is systematic, firm, precise and also measurable. The Indonesian government continues to ensure that all of these steps can be carried out optimally by involving many other parties.
