The Government of the Republic of Indonesia continues to push for optimization of the realization of the use of APBD to continue to be able to accelerate development in Papua so that people’s welfare is guaranteed by maximizing public services.
The Papua Mountains Provincial Government (Pemprov) has held a coordination meeting (rakor) and also socialized regulations regarding regional financial management in 2023 in Jayapura City, Papua. Of course, the implementation of the coordination meeting was also attended by all regional heads throughout Mountain Papua.
Not without reason, the purpose of holding a working meeting as well as outreach regarding regulations on regional financial management is to accelerate the realization of the 2023 Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD).
Regarding this matter, the Director General (Dirjen) of Regional Finance Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri RI), Agus Fatoni said that the implementation of a coordination meeting on finance which was held at the beginning of the year was indeed a very positive thing.
How could it not be, the article is, of course with a coordination meeting to discuss regional financial management, it will be able to equalize all perceptions in running the wheels of government at the provincial level and also at the Regency or City in Cenderawasih Earth.
Meanwhile, the Acting (Pj) Governor of Papua Mountains, Nikolaus Kondomo said that the APBD funds owned by the Papua Mountains Province in 2023 amounted to 1.8 trillion Rupiah which would be focused on the education sector and also the health sector.
Of course, with the allocation of Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget funds to focus on the education and health sectors, it is because until now, it cannot be denied that the human development index in the Papua Mountains Province, which has recently been expanded by the Government Republic of Indonesia (RI) is still relatively low.
It is known that the human development index itself in the province is at 60% (percent), so of course this will continue to make the focus of the local Regional Government (Pemda) to be repaired immediately.
Apart from that, with the improvement and also the strong commitment shown by the local regional government to be able to deal with the problem of the low human development index on Cenderawasih Earth, this is also one of the many clear evidences of the success and effectiveness of the Indonesian Government’s program to expand regions in Papua, so that the people are really able to feel a lot of improvements happening to increase their welfare with much more optimal public services.
It is also hoped that, after the coordination meeting held, it will be able to further educate the local government in as many as 8 (eight) districts to be able to carry out financial management in a more targeted manner and will also bring high benefits to public services in the community in the easternmost province. the Indonesian.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) John Wempi Wetimpo also continues to encourage Regional Governments (Pemda) to further accelerate the realization of the APBD to further help develop the economies of their respective regions.
This is because the more smoothly the realization of the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget will certainly further encourage spending from the private sector so that it will also affect the development of the regional economy.
There are several steps that should be taken by the Regional Government in order to continue to be able to optimize a number of steps in order to further optimize the achievement of the Dutch target from the APBD.
Some of what local governments need to do is, they need to continue accelerating regional spending by utilizing digital space, namely being able to use e-catalogs, then local e-catalogs, online-based shops, and you can also use local government credit cards (KKPD). ).
Furthermore, it is important for the four New Autonomous Regions (DOB) in Papua to be able to use the budget allocations given to them to further accelerate development in Cenderawasih Earth.
In principle, in fact the Government through the Ministry of Home Affairs itself has approved the use of APBD in the four new autonomous regions to be used in the implementation of development in each province, both in Highlands Papua, South Papua, Central Papua and Southwest Papua.
Apart from aiming to build government infrastructure, of course the four new autonomous regions in Papua also have the responsibility to be able to oversee the entire process of holding the Simultaneous Elections in 2024, because they are also participating in holding a democratic party in Indonesia.
In order to further accelerate development in Papua, the Government of Indonesia continues to push for optimization of the realization of the use of the APBD. Some of the objectives are due to improve people’s welfare with increasingly optimal public services, including also to make preparations for the development of government infrastructure and also preparations for the implementation of the 2024 Election.
