The House of Representatives (DPR RI) highly appreciates President Jokowi’s strategy and seriousness in the mission to free Pilot Susi Air. Even the government itself has emphasized that it will not remain silent.

So far, indeed the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) with the assistance of other related parties such as the Nduga Regency Government (Pemkab) to the entire security apparatus from the joint personnel consisting of the Indonesian National Army (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) continue to make optimal efforts to evacuate and rescue pilots from Susi Air airlines.

Therefore, with various steps that have been very precise and carefully carried out by the government, it is not surprising that this has received a lot of high appreciation from various parties and circles.

Including, one of the very high appreciations came from Member of Commission I of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI) from the Golkar Party (Golkar) faction, Bobby Rizaldi welcomed the clear evidence of the seriousness and strong commitment possessed by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) regarding efforts to free Captain Philips Mark Mehrtens.

This member of the DPR RI clearly saw that it was very clear how serious and serious the government and the Head of State had in being able to resolve the hostage-taking case carried out by KST Papua led by Egianus Kogoya as soon as possible.

It’s not even half-hearted, the government has also carried out various methods and approaches, which of course are still in the context of upholding the principles of humanism, namely by using the approach of opening up space for dialogue and negotiations with the separatist gang who took the New Zealand pilot as hostage.

Some of the ways that the government continues to do in terms of opening up space for dialogue are by inviting all kinds of elements in society to participate and play an active role in carrying out dialogue or negotiations with the KST Papua hostage pilot Susi Air.

The government has asked for help from many parties, not only relying on security forces from joint forces such as the TNI, Polri and BIN, but also involving many community leaders, traditional leaders, local religious leaders and including the Acting (Pj) Regent of Nduga to the Kogoya family themselves.

Of course, the principle that has been upheld by the Government of Indonesia is how to be able to save one precious life and also on the other hand, keep trying not to use methods that actually have the potential to increase casualties. Therefore, a military approach was not used at all.

Then, it is also great hope for all the people in the country to be able to continue and always fully support whatever steps the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and President Jokowi have taken in the mission to release Captain Philips Mark Mehrtens so that it can run smoothly, safely and peacefully.

On the other hand, according to the Member of the Republic of Indonesia DPR from the Golkar faction, he firmly believed that the KST Papuans would absolutely not dare to actually kill and finish off their hostage, namely Pilot Susi Air, although recently there had been an ultimatum video circulating and threats from a separatist group led by Egianus Kogoya to immediately kill.

The Separatist and Terrorist Groups in Bumi Cenderawasih themselves, on the other hand, will definitely not immediately take a rash action and harm them, namely by directly killing the pilot because the existence of Philips Mark Mehrtens for them is an advantage to be able to continue giving ultimatums and threats to government. So they also would not want to lose the precious hostage.

Meanwhile, the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo himself, also very firmly stated that the Government continues to make as much effort as possible and as optimally as possible for the mission of freeing the Susi Air Pilot from the hands of KST Papua.

The Head of State even stressed that his party would not remain silent at all when facing this serious problem which is very much related to the existence of human rights (HAM). Therefore, all efforts have been made very, very seriously with a strong commitment.

The whole strategy, up to the seriousness and very strong commitment of the Government and President Jokowi himself in dealing with KST Papua, in order to be able to carry out the mission to free the Susi Air Pilot smoothly, safely and peacefully, deserves a very high appreciation.
