The presence of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) has made the people of Papua very grateful, because public services there are more affordable than before. The new autonomous region in Papua is one of the seriousnesses of the Government of Indonesia in developing Indonesia evenly, especially in the Eastern Region which continues to be taken seriously.
The Papua New Guinea provides facilities that can be reached by the local community, so that the level of welfare of the residents also increases over time. The new autonomous region that was built is the hope of being able to bring services closer to the local community, so that easy access and public facilities will also become easier.
Of course, this cannot be separated from the great contribution made by PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) to make this wish come true. PTFI presents the development of Human Resources (HR) by building the Nemangkawi Mining Institute (IPN).
The presence of NMI also makes it easier for Papuans to get reliable and professional jobs according to their abilities. In fact, Vice President (Wapres) Ma’ruf Amin appreciated this and said that the presence of the IPN was a form of partiality towards investment in the workforce of indigenous Papuans.
A Papuan who is also a member of the MRP Pokja Adat, Herman Yoku, said he was grateful and proud to have a new autonomous region and to witness the struggle for the realization of three new provinces in Papua namely, South Papua, Central Papua and Central Highlands Papua. Herman also expressed his gratitude to President Jokowi and the TNI and Polri security forces who had escorted and supported him during the Hearing Meeting (RDP).
Herman also said that his other friends had started to advance in the contest and hoped they would be able to develop their respective regions to go in a better direction in the future. It doesn’t stop there, currently a new autonomous region is only present, namely in the Province of Southwest Papua, where the legalization is almost complete in the DPR.
The Director for Regional Arrangement, Special Autonomy, and the Regional Autonomy Advisory Council of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Valentimus Sudarjanto Sumito expressed his gratitude because the whole process went smoothly and well in the DPR. Then, regarding the arrangement based on its geographical conditions, Papua does need immediate treatment, especially transportation with easy access.
If the new autonomous regions are complete and running well as a whole, the welfare of the people on Cendrawasih Land can certainly increase well. Everything does need a process, with patience later they will reap commensurate results. Meanwhile, regarding the validation of the Southwest Papua New Autonomous Region passed by the DPR, so that currently the total number of provinces in Indonesia is 38 provinces.
Meanwhile, Member of Commission II of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI), Rico Sia also admitted that he was very grateful because in the end the legal basis for the formation of the Southwest Papua Province, which was one of a series of efforts to expand the region through the formation of new autonomous regions on Earth Cenderawasih has been legalized so that it becomes the legal basis for the formation of the province.
He himself represents the indigenous people of Papua (OAP) from Southwest Papua. He expressed his gratitude from the bottom of his heart. He even expressed his gratitude to the leaders of the DPR RI including the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, especially the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Of course, with this clear legal basis, in the future it will make efforts to expand the area which is being intensified by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in order to be able to further guarantee the existence of public services that are getting better for the people in the easternmost province of the country can run very well. again in the future.
Furthermore, the legislator from the Democratic National Party (NasDem) faction also hopes and asks the Central Government to be able to assist the new government in Southwest Papua Province so that the existence of the local Regional Government (Pemda) at Level II can run smoothly so that it can be more improve the welfare of all people in Papua in a much more equitable manner.
For information, the enactment of the New Autonomous Region in Papua is a result of political compromise efforts made between the OAP community and also the central government in resolving multidimensional conflicts that have continued to occur, even for a long time, in Bumi Cenderawasih.
It cannot be denied that now the public services provided by the Central Government can run very well and are distributed to indigenous Papuans to all corners of Cenderawasih Earth because they are assisted by the existence of the formation of the new autonomous regions. With an increase in public services that are getting better, the people in Papua are very grateful.
