The General Election or General Election is just around the corner. Various parties and elements of society work together to create a safe and conducive democratic party. A number of preparations are being finalized, both by election organizers, the government and local security forces as well as all elements of society, so that this five-year event can be held peacefully and smoothly.
Election organizing institutions or KPUs in a number of regions are starting to make preparations ahead of the elections in February 2024. Hundreds of residents were involved by the KPU in folding ballot papers and felt very enthusiastic about doing it. Currently the ballot papers that are being folded are the DPD RI, Provincial DPRD and Regency or City DPRD ballots, while the Presidential ballot papers will arrive on January 6 2024. The folding of thousands of ballot papers is targeted to be completed no later than the end of January 2024.
Apart from that, 90% of the 2024 election logistics are also in the KPU warehouse in a number of regions. One of them, Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Pasuruan Regency, Zainul Faizin, said that almost all the logistics for the 2024 Election had been secured in the warehouse in Pleret, Pohjentrek District. Starting from ballot boxes, voting booths to TPS (polling place) equipment such as voting equipment, ink, seals and others. Including 5 types of ballot papers, 4 of which have arrived and are being stored in the warehouse. Only the ballot papers for the election of DPR RI members have still not arrived.
Regarding all the logistics that are stored, the KPU together with the Police continue to monitor and guard them 24 hours until the day of the 2024 Election. Not only are the logistics guaranteed to be safe, Faizin also emphasized that the use of the warehouse in Pleret as a logistics storage location is very appropriate. Considering the location is quite representative, with a very good level of dryness so that even though it rains, there are no leaks whatsoever. After all the logistics have arrived, the next stage is sorting and folding the ballot papers. Then proceed with setting and packing, and finally distribution.
The election of the President and Vice President is something that all Indonesian people are looking forward to. This year’s elections will be even more interesting due to the increase in election participants from the young voting age group, namely generation Z and millennials. Generation Z and millennials are known as young people who grew up with technology.
