Launching the 2024 Proliga Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Team Contingents, KABIN: Optimistic that we will win!
Jakarta – Head of the State Intelligence Agency or KABIN Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Si attended the launch and release of the Jakarta BIN Women’s and Jakarta STIN Men’s Volleyball Teams on Sunday (21/4). The inauguration was held at the Rajawali Sports Hall (GOR), Mako BIN, Jakarta.
In his speech, KABIN revealed that this ceremonial event was one of the traditions of the State Intelligence Agency.
“This is the tradition in the State Intelligence Agency. “We feel that everyone is a big family, we are in one boat and feel that the younger siblings will fight for the good name of BIN,” said KABIN.
Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Si gave an example that in the world of football, people are familiar with various elite clubs, such as Manchester City in England and Bayern Munich from Germany.
Because of this, he hopes that Indonesia will also be known for the existence of the BIN Volleyball Team.
“So we want Indonesia to be known for its STIN BIN and Jakarta BIN Clubs,” he said.
He considered that the BIN Volleyball Team was a gathering place for national athletes. Apart from that, the BIN Volleyball Team is also trained and managed by competent parties who have many achievements.
The Head of BIN also advised BIN volleyball athletes to continue to maintain their fighting spirit and achieve.
“Please continue to maintain the reputation of the State Intelligence Agency by giving your best, having a fighting spirit that never gives up, until the last drop of blood,” said Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, SH, M.Si
He is also optimistic that with hard work, championship achievements will be achieved.
“Good luck and good luck competing. “Then we can achieve the 2024 Pro League championship,” he concluded.
In the same place, Chairman of the Sports Association (PORBIN) Komjen Pol. Bambang Sunarwibowo explained that the formation of the BIN Volleyball Team was a direct instruction from the Head of BIN, General Pol (Ret.) Budi Gunawan.
He explained that currently the development of the volleyball ecosystem and industry is getting tighter. In fact, the international community is also increasingly enthusiastic about the sport of volleyball.
“This is certainly the right momentum for national volleyball athletes to be more enthusiastic about improving their achievements to penetrate the competition among top players at world level,” explained the Chairman of PORBIN.
Reflecting on this, added Komjen Pol. Bambang Sunarwibowo, this time PORBIN recruited the best athletes and volleyball coaches.
“The BIN volleyball team has recruited the best volleyball athletes, not only at the national level, but also at the international level.” he said
Apart from that, management has also made preparations and put together a mature strategy to achieve victory, starting from the line-up of players, coaching team, support for facilities and infrastructure, as well as essential things. So, it is hoped that champion achievements can be achieved.
“This winning achievement will give pride to individuals, teams, families and the nation so that it becomes a gold record in the Indonesian volleyball sports sector,” he said.
The launching event for the Jakarta BIN Women’s Volleyball Team and the Jakarta STIN Men’s Volleyball Team began with the singing of Indonesia Raya by all the attendees.
The activity continued with cheerleaders and athlete introductions, including national athletes who were previously active in South Korea, Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi or Megatron.
