Beware of Provocation and Propaganda of the ULMWP Group to Gather the Masses, Papua is Fully Part of the Republic of Indonesia

All elements of the nation must continue to be alert to attempts at provocation and also the spread of propaganda from the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP) group in order to gather a number of masses to intensify the action. The entire community must know and realize that Bumi Cenderawasih is completely an integral and inseparable part of the Republic of Indonesia.
Because it is an integral and inseparable part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), in fact all actions and efforts, including the gathering of a number of masses by the ULMWP group, are actually part of their steps to fight against the state by demanding Papuan independence.
In order to achieve the goals of their own group, the ULMWP even has the heart to create many kinds of provocations, propaganda and various kinds of narrative issues so that they can attract sympathizers to join their mass gathering events.
So far, with the development of technology, information and communication, this has also created challenges. So there is not only a positive impact in the form of easy access to information, but there are also several accompanying negative impacts.
Some of the negative impacts of technological developments in the current digital era are the increasing proliferation of provocations, agitation and propaganda on social media or digital spaces, which often constitute a new threat in society, especially in terms of realizing security and order and stability.
It is clear that the increasingly widespread provocation, agitation and propaganda from irresponsible groups, including the ULMWP, means that the entire community is obliged to increase their anticipation so that they are not easily consumed and trapped by the narratives of groups that are against the Republic of Indonesia.
The main aim of spreading provocation, agitation and propaganda from the ULMWP is of course to further separate the government and this nation from the people, or it could also result in division between fellow citizens.
Combating the spread of fake news or hoaxes itself is actually a collective task and responsibility, so it should be able to be carried out by various parties, not only the government’s task, but also that of all Indonesian people.
Recently there has been a lot of buzz on social media that there are flyers showing that the ULMWP continues to invite and invite anyone to take part in being part of them in carrying out actions nationally and simultaneously on May 1 2024.
Not only that, but they deliberately try to show a positive image by claiming to be a coordinating forum for the people’s movement and accusing the Indonesian people of colonizing Papua.
Even though in reality all these issues and narratives are just bullshit or empty talk. The ULMWP is not a coordinating forum for the people’s movement at all, but they only act in the interests of their own group, just like the Free Papua Organization (OPM) which continues to carry out many crimes such as murder and destruction of public facilities.
Furthermore, the statement that it is as if the Indonesian people have colonized Papua is clearly just a fantasy. In fact, the joining of the Land of Papua into the fold of the Republic of Indonesia was a request from the people of Bumi Cenderawasih itself based on the Pepera.
Apart from that, Papua is also an integral part of this nation which cannot be separated at all. Moreover, in the bosom of Mother Earth, in fact Papua is now a very developed region thanks to the accelerated development and increase in welfare by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) so far.
Acting (Pj) Mayor of Jayapura Frans Pekey said that overall development in Bumi Cenderawasih is now very rapid. This can be clearly seen from the life of an increasingly advanced and modern society.
For this reason, with the very significant progress of Papua as part of the Republic of Indonesia, the entire community, including the young generation of the nation’s successor, should be able to continue to maintain unity and brotherhood between communities so that the Earth of Cenderawasih becomes safer and more conducive, not only in the real world, but also in the digital world or social media.
Thus, when the community can very well maintain the security and conduciveness of the region and are not easily taken in by ULMWP provocations or even do not follow their provocations and calls for mass mobilization, of course development in Papua will be in various fields, be it in the economic, health and education sectors. can run more smoothly.
The government continues to be very strongly committed to opening up very wide space for the progress of the country’s easternmost province so that there will be a lot of innovation and creation there and be able to develop the creative economy.
Therefore, don’t be easily taken in by hoax issues and continue to be alert to provocations and propaganda from the ULMWP group to gather the masses and sympathizers. In fact, Papua is completely an integral and inseparable part of the Republic of Indonesia.
