TPNPB OPM Provocation Disrupts Security Forces to Maintain Conduciveness and Obstacles the Acceleration of Papuan Development

The provocation of the West Papua National Liberation Army, Free Papua Organization (TPNPB OPM) has greatly disturbed the security forces in maintaining conduciveness and increasingly hampered efforts to accelerate Papua’s development.
So far, all security forces have continued to work hard by sacrificing their lives and bodies to maintain conduciveness in the Land of Papua in order to create a peaceful and serene situation. Not only that, but on the other hand the government also continues to strive to accelerate the acceleration of Papua’s development.
However, it turns out that all these efforts, both maintaining conduciveness and accelerating development, have clearly been greatly disrupted or hampered by the existence of the TPNPB OPM, especially those who continue to be active in spreading many provocation and propaganda narrative issues to the public.
One of the issues and narratives that the separatist gang continues to echo in cyberspace and social media (social media) is related to the status of Papua and Indonesia. They continue to argue that it is as if Papua is not part of Indonesia.
This is clearly a very real narrative of provocation and propaganda, which is actually only in the interests of their own groups and factions to escape from the bosom of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
In fact, in fact, this desire is not at all in accordance with the opinions of other indigenous Papuan civil society (OAP), where residents feel that their lives are very calm and prosperous in the bosom of the archipelago.
Since 1969, a referendum or Determination of Papuan People’s Opinion (Pepera) has occurred, the results of which show that the majority of people in Bumi Cenderawasih give their full support for integration with Indonesia. The results of the Act also determine the political status of the region to date.
No half-hearted, even the results of Pepera have also received full recognition from the international world, namely through the United Nations (UN) which ratified and assessed that the integration of Papua with the Republic of Indonesia is final.
Then, the government did not just remain silent, but after this integration, the government immediately granted special autonomy status (autonomy) as a form of full recognition of the cultural diversity and historical context in Papua.
Since integration with the Republic of Indonesia, the region in Papua has experienced very rapid development in various sectors, such as the economic, social and political sectors. This is also a form of very serious attention from the government.
With this fact, it has even made the traditional community leaders in Bumi Cenderawasih very vehemently and emphatically reject the existence of TPNPB OPM because so far it has continued to bring the area nicknamed Little Heaven that Fell to Earth into backwardness and decline.
One of the community leaders of the Kopkaka Tribe, Seradala, Yahukimo Regency, Yusak Weyo, emphasized that he strongly opposes all acts of violence and barbarity carried out by the Free Papua Organization.
The reason is, because too often the terrorist gangs carry out indiscriminate attacks, causing many civilians in Bumi Cenderawasih to feel traumatized and afraid of their terror.
Therefore, because Papua is continuously shrouded in fear and terror, this region has never experienced progress, which of course hinders the government’s efforts to accelerate development.
Meanwhile, the actions that TPNPB OPM actually carried out were not only in the real world, but also in the virtual world. So they not only riot directly with physical actions, but also carry out provocation and propaganda efforts to disrupt public perception.
The many attempts at provocation and propaganda have also greatly disrupted the performance of the security forces in Bumi Cenderawasih, who continue to struggle to risk their lives to create conduciveness.
State security forces and law enforcement officers have continued to work and often even risked their lives. Especially if in crisis conditions and situations or when the country is in danger, then they are the front guard who will come forward.
All security personnel have continued to use a very humanist approach in Papua, including actively contributing to improving the welfare of local residents in order to create peace on Earth of Cenderawasih.
It would be very cruel and devoid of conscience if all the security forces’ struggles actually resulted in various accusations on social media by TPNPB OPM propagandists who were completely irresponsible.
It would be good for the public not to be easily swayed by the issues they raise and continue to provide full support to all levels of security forces on duty.
Because of the provocation from the TPNPB OPM, it has clearly seriously disrupted the duties of the security forces in maintaining the conduciveness of Papua and has also hampered the government’s efforts to realize accelerated development in the Land of Cenderawasih.
