BIN and TNI-Polri join in securing the 10th World Water Forum event in Bali
Bali – Conditions in Bali are guaranteed to be safe and conducive in the context of holding the 10th World Water Forum (WWF). In this case, the TNI, Polri and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) have worked together to maintain the security of this prestigious event which will be held from 18-25 May 2024.
As with previous experience, the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) together with the TNI and Polri made a significant contribution to efforts to secure the World Water Forum event in Bali.
Through close coordination with the TNI, Polri and other related parties, BIN uses its resources and expertise in the intelligence field to identify potential threats and take the necessary preventive steps.
With its experience and skills, BIN is actively involved in ensuring the security and safety of the participants and maintaining the smooth running of the event. Collaboration between BIN and other security agencies is one of the main pillars in maintaining the success and security of this event in Bali.
Regarding this matter, the Head of the National Police’s Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam), Commissioner General Pol Fadil Imran, who also serves as Head of Puri Agung 2024 Operations for the security of the 10th WWF, said that synergy between security forces has been established, especially when securing international standard activities.
“This concept is usually done with TNI friends. “The TNI formed a Task Force and we held Operation Puri Agung,” he said.
The World Water Forum, added Komjen Fadil, is a very important activity because it discusses water issues and problems globally because the issues of water, food and energy are crucial issues at this time where the world must have one voice.
The former Metro Jaya Police Chief explained that currently the National Police has also deployed thousands of personnel and provided a Command Center to make this activity a success.
“The National Police involves 5,791 personnel equipped with a command center and is expected to carry out their duties more optimally,” he said.
Not to forget, he also appealed to the entire community to maintain a conducive atmosphere during the World Water Forum and understand that later there will be situational regulation and diversion of traffic flows.
“We don’t want to disrupt this activity with tourism activities which are the lifeblood of Bali’s economy. “We want to set an example that there is an event without disruption but with an impact on the community,” he concluded.
