Communication and coordination between various elements and across sectors is the key to the success of the Regional Head General Election (Pilkada) in November 2024.

Soon the Indonesian nation will once again hold a big celebration in relation to the democratic party and political contestation, namely the implementation of the 2024 regional elections. Because it is right around the corner, all parties should prepare as thoroughly as possible, one of which is by establishing communication and coordination between cross-sectors. as the key to the success of the event.

Of course, the upcoming 2024 Regional Head General Election (Pilkada) will not be able to take place smoothly and successfully if preparations only take place by certain parties. Therefore, absolutely all parties across sectors are obliged to carry out good communication and coordination.

The Pilkada event is a means for all people, from each respective region, to carry out the mandate of democracy, namely electing the right leader candidate to manage and advance their region.

In its implementation, of course the Regional Head Election is vulnerable and leaves several problems that must be resolved by all parties. One of the very real threats in society is the breakdown of harmony between citizens which has been very well maintained.

The occurrence of divisions between members of the community cannot be separated from the differences in their respective political choices or views in the upcoming November 2024 regional elections.

If polarization between one citizen and another continues to occur, it will certainly further muddy the atmosphere of democracy in Indonesia and the quality of democracy in this nation will decline, thereby making the country’s image in front of the world less good.

To face the upcoming Regional Head Election, creating a cool, peaceful and serene atmosphere is an obligation and is the responsibility of all parties without exception.

Creating an atmosphere of coolness and peace in the Pilkada is very important, because healthy political contestation will improve the implementation of democracy in this nation.

However, this certainly cannot be done without getting support from various parties cross-sectorally, both from the Government of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), then joint security forces such as the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Intelligence Agency. The State (BIN), as well as the regional election organizers, namely the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) with other ministries and institutions as well as the role of the media must continue to synergize to provide supervision.

Highlighting the role of the media, the Director General of Information and Public Communication (IKP) of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo), Usman Kansong, assessed that the press is a clearing house, like a clarifier, so it must play a neutral, independent role, especially when politics is in full swing. cloudy.

The press has an important role as an educational medium for young voters, where education about elections, including regional elections, is a right for every citizen so that they can show their active contribution to the democratic party.

Likewise, Head of the Public Information Section (Kabag Penum) of the Public Relations Division (Humas) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), Police Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Erdi Adrimulan Chaniago revealed that related to cross-sector coordination and communication, security forces also have an important role .

Security forces have an important role to play in upholding cross-sector communication and coordination in preparation for the 2024 regional elections, including continuing to maintain security and providing literacy to the public wisely. This effort is also in line with the constitutional mandate in Law (UU) Number 2 of 2002 concerning the Police which has a role in preventive, preemptive and repressive actions.

Although the potential or possibility of various kinds of challenges in the Regional Head Election certainly exists, the whole community should still uphold an attitude full of optimism, because good things will continue to accompany a good atmosphere.

With all the dynamics that might occur in the Indonesian nation in the political year 2024 like now, of course every element of the nation, including across sectors, has an equally big responsibility to continue to oversee the democratic party so that it remains conducive, safe, comfortable and able to create healthy political contestation for Indonesia’s progress.

When communication and coordination between cross-sectors occurs optimally, it is not impossible that this nation will easily experience extraordinary progress with significant development occurring.

In other words, communication and coordination between cross-sectors and various elements of the nation is very important and is one of the keys to the successful implementation of the 2024 regional elections.
