Peaceful and safe regional elections are not just a dream, but a necessity that we can realize together. With optimal synergy between security forces, we can create a conducive atmosphere that allows people to vote without fear. The key to the successful implementation of regional elections lies in close cooperation between the police, TNI and other security forces.

The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Hadi Tjahjanto, emphasized that all TNI and Polri forces would be deployed to ensure that there were no disturbances during the Pilkada process. This is not just a duty, but an obligation for security forces to maintain national stability and security.

Hadi stated firmly that the TNI and Polri must guarantee that the 2024 Pilkada will take place without disruption. Each area will be filled with security officers ready to maintain order.

Furthermore, Hadi also requested that every TNI and Polri officer map areas that are potentially prone to conflict during the Pilkada. This step is important to anticipate all bad possibilities that could occur.

The organic intelligence apparatus in each region must work hard and not depend on assistance from other regions. Focus on each region, because each region has different characteristics and potential vulnerabilities.

Apart from that, Hadi emphasized the importance of good coordination between the central and regional governments. There should be no overlap in authority that could hamper the process of implementing the regional elections. Governors, regents and mayors must always coordinate with the central government so that all security measures can run smoothly and according to plan.

In South Kalimantan, synergy between the South Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda) and the local Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) is the key to securing the 2024 Regional Elections. The Director of General Criminal Investigation at the South Kalimantan Regional Police, Pol Kombes. Erick Frendriz emphasized the importance of this collaboration to take action against violations during the regional elections.

Quick coordination between Bawaslu and the police is needed to ensure whether the violations that occur are adequately handled by Bawaslu or fall into the criminal realm and must be handled by the police through the Integrated Law Enforcement Center (Gakkumdu).

Erick reminded that regional election violations could have far-reaching impacts if they were not handled appropriately and quickly. A safe and peaceful regional election in 2024 will be an important asset for welcoming the 2024 regional elections. This good experience must be used as a standard in maintaining the security of the upcoming regional elections.

The Chairperson of the South Kalimantan Province Bawaslu, Aries Mardiono, also appreciated the performance of the South Kalimantan Regional Police and all levels of police who had overseen security and order in the previous elections. South Kalimantan Province Bawaslu gave a certificate of appreciation to the South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Inspector General of Police. Winarto, as a form of appreciation for the good synergy so far.

Aries is optimistic that with the synergy of all parties, including the KPU and Bawaslu, smooth regional elections can be achieved and law enforcement can be enforced well.

Security during the Pilkada is not only the responsibility of the authorities who appear on the surface, but also the intelligence officers who work behind the scenes. They are the ones who map potential vulnerabilities and provide important information for officers on duty in the field.

With accurate and timely information, preventive steps can be taken before problems escalate. Therefore, synergy between security and intelligence forces must always be maintained and improved.

Organic intelligence officers spread across various regions have the tough task of ensuring that no area escapes surveillance. They must work selflessly and always be ready to provide accurate reports to security forces. In this case, coordination between regions is also the key to successful regional election security.

Not only that, the public is also expected to participate in maintaining security and order during the regional elections. Active community participation in reporting potential security disturbances or regional election violations can be very helpful to security forces. The synergy between security forces, intelligence and the community will be a strong bulwark in maintaining security in the 2024 regional elections.

Overlapping authority between the central and regional governments can become an obstacle in the process of securing regional elections. Therefore, Hadi Tjahjanto emphasized the importance of good coordination between the two parties. Every step must be taken with clear and directed communication. Regional governments must always coordinate with the central government to ensure all actions go according to plan.

Not only in terms of security, coordination is also important in all aspects of Pilkada implementation. From logistics to law enforcement, everything must run with good coordination. In this way, the regional election process can run smoothly and the results can be accepted by all parties.

The success of the 2024 regional elections does not only depend on the security forces, but also on all elements of society. Synergy between central and regional governments, security forces, intelligence and society is the main key. All parties must work together and coordinate well to ensure that the Pilkada takes place safely and peacefully.

Ensuring the security and smoothness of the 2024 regional elections is a joint task that requires optimal synergy between security forces, both TNI and Polri. Good coordination between central and regional governments, as well as active community participation, is also very important. By working together, we can ensure that the 2024 Pilkada runs smoothly without the slightest disruption. Let us all contribute to realizing safe, peaceful and successful regional elections.
