Maybrat Regent, Dr. Bernhard Eduard Rondonuwu, S.Sos., M.Si., accompanied by Ferdinandus Taa, SH, M.Sc. (Acting Regional Secretary of Maybrat Regency) and Enseny Stevy Mosso, S.Sos., M.Si. (Acting Inspector at the Maybrat Inspectorate), held a meeting with the West Papua BPK team at the Belagri Hotel, Sorong.

This meeting took place in an atmosphere full of harmony and seriousness. The main agenda for the meeting was to discuss the progress of the routine inspection process carried out by the West Papua BPK team for Maybrat Regency.

This routine audit is part of efforts to ensure transparency and accountability in regional financial management. During the meeting, various important aspects were discussed in depth. The main purpose of this meeting was to discuss the development of the routine inspection process by the West Papua BPK team for Maybrat Regency. This inspection is carried out as a form of supervision and evaluation of the performance of local governments in managing finances and administration.

Bernhard emphasized the importance of good cooperation between the regional government and the West Papua BPK to achieve this goal. On this occasion, Acting. Ferdinandus Taa, SH, M.Si., Acting Regional Secretary of Maybrat Regency, officially submitted the Maybrat Regency Government Financial Report for Fiscal Year 2023. This report was submitted to the Financial Audit Agency (BPK). This moment marks the beginning of an audit process that is very important for regional financial transparency and accountability. This activity is expected to strengthen relations between regional governments and the BPK.

This report is a reflection of the Maybrat Regency Government’s commitment to maintaining open information to the public. This transparency is expected to increase public trust in regional financial management. The report is prepared in accordance with applicable government accounting standards. This also reflects the integrity and professionalism of the Maybrat Regency Government in managing public funds.

BPK will support by producing quality, useful and solution recommendations. This recommendation will be an important ingredient for local governments to make improvements and increase the quality of performance.
