Three members of the separatist group Free Papua Organization (OPM) led by Teranus Enumbi were shot dead in an operation, in response to the threat they posed to security and public order. Previously, the Chair of the Indigenous Youth of the Seireri Nabire Traditional Region, Ali Kabiay, asked the TNI-Polri to completely eradicate the OPM members who are currently still acting in the Papua region. According to him, so far the OPM has been too brutal in carrying out its actions in Papua.
“The chaos they are causing is really hampering development carried out by the regional government, and hampering the education, economic and other sectors, thereby causing community activities to be hampered,” said Ali.
