While serving in Nduga Regency, Papua Mountain Province, elite airborne troops belonging to Infantry Division (Divif) 3 Kostrad, TNI Army (AD), routinely and periodically carried out special sweeping.
Without discrimination, all passing vehicles must stop to go through a strict inspection process, from the driver, passengers to whatever goods they are carrying. Not only that, but people who pass through this route also do not escape inspection at all.
Commander of the Mbua TNI Post, First Lieutenant Infantry (Lettu Inf) Fahrizal, stated that the sweeping was aimed at further narrowing the space for the Free Papua Organization, especially to cut off all their logistics and weapons supplies.

Meanwhile, recently, even the kingpin of the Free Papua Organization led by Egianus Kogoya also had to pay dearly for the reckless actions of his men against the elite TNI AD Kostrad troops with blood and life.
One of Egianus Kogoya’s men, who was covered in blood, died as a corpse while attempting to attack the TNI Yigi Post, which is currently home to TNI soldiers from the Mobile Task Force, Yonif Para Raider 432/Waspada Setia Jaya, Divif 3 Kostrad.
There were a number of OPM members of Egianus who were trying to enter Yigi District, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountain Province. They entered there carrying firearms (senpi) and apparently also pushed their way into Yigi to carry out an attack on the TNI post.
However, apparently all the movements of the murderous separatist gang had been known by the elite Kostrad airborne troops beforehand, so the authorities immediately responded to the OPM’s movements with regional security measures.
Before Egianus Kogoya’s gang opened fire on the TNI Post, they had already been attacked until gunfire broke out. The impact of the gunfire was very fatal for OPM, because one of their members, Engabub, had to become a corpse lying covered in blood, hit by a bullet fired by a soldier. Not only that, but 2 fellow terrorists were also seriously injured.
According to the Head of Information for the Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) III, Colonel Infantry Winaryo, the security forces’ actions not only succeeded in paralyzing the OPM but also caused a similar group to flee in fear of Yigi.
So far, Yoigi himself has been included in one of the scary districts, because he often experiences security threats from the OPM. Therefore, the people are now very happy when the TNI decides to station troops there.
