OPM Intensifies Propaganda, Security Forces Still Succeed in Revealing Facts about New Zealand Pilot Shooting

The Free Papua Organization (OPM) continues to intensify various propaganda efforts, but it turns out that the security forces are still successful in revealing the appropriate facts on the ground regarding the shooting case of the New Zealand pilot.
Recently, there has been a lot of discussion that a New Zealand helicopter pilot was the victim of an OPM shooting. Even so, it turns out that the separatist gangs of the country’s enemies continue to dodge by spreading many propaganda issues with the aim of distorting the facts.
Even though no matter how hard they tried to cover up the facts of what happened on the ground regarding the murder of the New Zealand pilot, in reality the OPM could not hide the truth at all and the security forces still managed to reveal it even in the midst of many propaganda issues.
Head of the Cartenz 2024 Peace Operations Public Relations Task Force (Kasatgas Humas Ops), Police Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Bayu Suseno said that often the terrorist gangs that are enemies of the country only spread various kinds of propaganda.
It is very clear that they were the perpetrators behind the shooting of a New Zealand pilot named Glen Malcolm Conning which occurred in Alama District, Mimika Regency.
Moreover, facts on the ground show that the OPM does not have any basic knowledge of Humanitarian Law at all. Therefore, they very easily and trivially attempt to take someone’s life.
The separatist gang from the region nicknamed Bumi Cenderawasih also often defends or justifies the various heinous and barbaric acts they have committed.
They have committed many very inhumane cases, such as killing completely innocent civilians, then they also often kill immigrants, including even indigenous Papuans (OAP), who themselves are not spared from being targets of cruelty from the OPM to public servants such as health workers. (health worker), teacher, motorbike taxi driver and most recently a pilot from New Zealand.
These terrorist groups always create rumors and propaganda to make it seem like they and their party are right and make excuses for killing civilians on the grounds that they are spying for intelligence.
Because of the OPM’s barbarity, of course there are quite a few parties who are very fed up with them and have even given very strong condemnations and criticisms for actions which clearly violate Human Rights (HAM) at a serious level.
The Chief of General Staff of the Indonesian National Army (Kasum TNI), Lieutenant General (Letjen) Richard Tampubolon said that the cruel and barbaric action of the Free Papua Organization which resulted in the death of PT Intan Angkasa helicopter pilot Glen Malcolm Conning was an inhumane act.
They have really caused fear among the people and often even distort the facts by carrying out a series of propaganda efforts against the residents of Bumi Cenderawasih.
So far, OPM has often carried out propaganda and intimidation that has frightened the public, for example, saying that it seemed as if there would be a military operation, causing residents to flee their hometowns.
In fact, this is not the case, but the presence of security forces in the community is to provide security support and assist the local Regional Government (Pemda) in providing a number of basic needs and carrying out inclusive social communication in order to fully support the accelerated development program for Papua.
On the contrary, the OPM is carrying out various kinds of disturbances with many acts of torture and murder against innocent people.
Sadly, the OPM did not admit their involvement in the attack and murder of the pilot from New Zealand because they argued that it seemed as if there was no activity from their gang in the Mimika area, Central Papua.
Regardless of whatever and whatever the OPM’s efforts to cover up the true facts that occurred in the field and spreading propaganda, the security forces still succeeded in uncovering all the evidence.
The government, through the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam), Hadi Tjahjanto ensures that the security forces will do everything they can to act very firmly in accordance with applicable procedures and laws.
All of these actions are only aimed at maintaining a conducive situation in Bumi Cenderawasih for the national interest, including so that the acceleration of development in Papua is realized optimally and has a positive impact on improving the welfare and standard of living of the local community.
The OPM’s actions in the Alama District are actually one of many series of concrete pieces of evidence that they are actually just a gang that likes to carry out security disturbances through torture and murder.
However, even though the concrete evidence is completely indisputable, the OPM still intensifies propaganda issues to cover up their mistakes. However, no matter how hard they tried, the security forces still managed to reveal the real facts behind the shooting of the New Zealand pilot.
