Jakarta – The Indonesian National Police has prepared 4,730 personnel in Operation Tribrata Jaya 2024 to secure the 2024 Indonesia Sustainability Forum (ISF) until the visit of Pope Francis.
Head of the Information and Documentation Management Bureau (PID) of the Indonesian National Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Tjahyono Saputro, revealed that the total personnel deployed were a combination of various elements.
“In detail, 1,210 personnel are from the National Police Headquarters, while 3,520 personnel are from the ranks of the Metro Jaya Regional Police,” he said.
Furthermore, Tjahyono also explained that the National Police had conducted a Tactical Floor Game (TFG) and various scenarios to deal with situations that might occur during the Pope’s visit and the implementation of ISF 2024.
“We have rehearsed scenarios related to the arrival and departure of Pope Francis, as well as preparations for emergency situations such as natural disasters or other security disturbances,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Head of Tribrata Jaya 2024 Operations, Commissioner General of Police Imam Widodo, said that the pre-Operation Tribrata Jaya 2024 training had been held at the Polda Metro Jaya Meeting Hall on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
“This pre-operational security training is very important to provide an understanding of standard operating procedures (SOP) and how to act in the field,” said Imam.
For your information, ISF is an official event to gather world leaders from various sectors and countries to exchange ideas, offer solutions, and share best practices in climate action.
ISF 2024 is planned to bring together more than 8,000 participants from more than 50 countries. In addition, President Joko Widodo is also scheduled to open the prestigious forum.
A number of important guests are also scheduled to attend, including Senior Minister of Singapore Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Fadillah Yusof, and CEO of Bezos Earth Fund Andrew Steer.
Previously, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan assessed that ISF 2024 would be an important international platform to facilitate collaboration in accessing green funding and improving human resources ready to face the Net Zero future.
