Electric Cars Become Transportation Mainstay at ISF 2024, Encourage Adoption of Environmentally Friendly Vehicles
Jakarta, – Indonesia is increasingly strengthening its commitment to popularizing the use of electric cars in the 2024 International Sustainability Forum (ISF). In collaboration with the Chinese automotive company, BYD, Indonesia will provide 18 units of the BYD Seal premium electric sedan as operational vehicles.
“Our partnership with ISF 2024 is a concrete step in supporting Indonesia’s commitment to achieving sustainable development targets,” said Luther Panjaitan, Head of Public Relations and Government Relations of PT BYD Motor Indonesia.
“We hope that the use of the BYD Seal during this event can inspire the wider community to switch to electric vehicles as a more environmentally friendly transportation solution.”
BYD Seal, known for its futuristic design and high performance, was chosen as the official vehicle of ISF 2024 due to its several advantages. In addition to high energy efficiency, the electric sedan also offers responsive acceleration and driving comfort that is on par with conventional premium cars.
“We are confident that the BYD Seal can provide an unforgettable driving experience for the delegates of ISF 2024,” added Luther.

Indonesia International Sustainability Forum 2024 is an annual event attended by world leaders, experts, and industry players to discuss sustainability issues. With the theme “Accelerating Green Transition”, ISF 2024 is the right platform to promote innovative solutions in addressing climate change and achieving sustainable development goals.
President Joko Widodo is scheduled to open the event and deliver a keynote speech. Other world leaders, including Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Panjaitan and Singapore’s Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean, will also be present as keynote speakers.
BYD’s participation in ISF 2024 has received appreciation from the Indonesian government. This shows the government’s commitment to encourage the development of the domestic electric vehicle industry. In addition, the partnership between BYD and ISF 2024 is also expected to attract foreign investors to invest in the clean energy sector in Indonesia.
“We hope that this collaboration can be an example for other companies to contribute to efforts to achieve carbon neutrality targets,” said Luther.
With increasing public awareness of the importance of protecting the environment, demand for electric vehicles in Indonesia continues to grow. The government has also issued various policies to support the development of the electric vehicle industry, such as providing tax incentives and providing charging infrastructure.
