Holding UMKM Seminar, BIN Through AMANAH Encourages Young Entrepreneurs to Move Up a Class
Aceh – IAIN Takengon through the Student Executive Council (DEMA) in collaboration with AMANAH Aceh and the Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (UKM) Office of Central Aceh Regency held an entrepreneurship seminar for MSME actors on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. This event took place in the IAIN Takengon Campus Hall and was attended by hundreds of students and business actors from various sectors.
In this seminar, participants received very relevant and interesting materials, in accordance with the current economic dynamics. In line with the objectives of the establishment of AMANAH Aceh which was initiated by the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).
It is hoped that this activity can instill an innovative mindset and encourage the use of local potential to create various superior products. In addition, it can also help business actors in improving skills and continuing to develop themselves.
The General Chairperson of DEMA IAIN Takengon, Alwin Rezeki, in his speech stated that the main objective of this activity is to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students.
“This activity is to foster a mindset to continue to innovate that utilizes local potential. As well as providing understanding and continuing to upgrade for entrepreneurs,” said Alwin
This seminar presents experienced speakers in their fields, including Taniro Jaya, SIKom., MAP as Head of Cooperative and SME Empowerment, and Ihsanuddin, ST, owner of Ulunuwih Coffee. Both speakers provide insight into the role of government in supporting SME development, as well as the importance of sustainable innovation for business actors in Central Aceh.
The speakers also encouraged participants to continue to utilize local potential by creating products that can not only be marketed nationally, but also penetrate the international market.
This is in line with President Joko Widodo’s mission, who has been very supportive of the MSME sector and emphasized the importance of innovation and creativity to increase the competitiveness of local products in the global market.
Alwin added that Central Aceh Regency has great potential in the tourism sector, which could be a golden opportunity for local entrepreneurs.
“Considering that this area (Central Aceh) is an area that has great potential in the tourism sector, of course there will be a lot of people coming here, this will certainly create opportunities for entrepreneurs,” said Alwin.
“Then, with this activity, we hope to produce many new entrepreneurs who are able to provide many innovations and create jobs in the future,” he added.
Through this seminar, AMANAH Aceh plays an active role in encouraging the younger generation to not only become entrepreneurs, but also become innovators who are able to create new jobs and contribute to the local economy.
